Business Development Manager - Central to East U.K

My client are a Global Market Leader for suppling world class precision engineering products such as Rotary Tables, Tooling Solutions. They have a rare opportunity to join an already successful sales team which is experiencing business growth.

Covering the Central to East UK Region including South Midlands, East Anglia, Home Counties and North London. Person to be ideally located within Home Counties area, but they will consider individuals located in Peterborough, Northampton, Bedford, Milton Keynes, Hertfordshire, Luton, Cambridge, Norwich, Ipswich, Colchester area. 

The Role: 

  • Managing existing portfolio base
  • Identifying & developing new opportunities within your territory
  • Selling high quality products
  • Communicating with stake holders to ensure client SLA's are met
  • Regular visits to their innovation centre
  • Supporting exhibitions and customer events both UK and abroad with potential overnight stays

Minimum Skills / Experience Required: 


  • Experience of selling Cutting Tools, Machine Tools or Capital Equipment
  • Ability to work on there own as this is a Work for Home role
  • Organised and able to plan their work load
  • Sales experience is ESSENTIAL but full Sales & Product training will be provided
  • Confident in speaking to people and will have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Motivated and excellent team player

The Package: 



  • Salary up to £50k per annum DOE
  • UNCAPPED commission structure with realistic OTE £65k-£70k
  • Sales performance bonus

Senior Project Manager

Location: Burton Latimer

Salary & Benefits: £55,000 to £60,000 plus car allowance

The Role

The Senior Project Manager will be accountable for the delivery of an extensive portfolio of projects as well as the leadership of the site-based project team from development of initial proposals to final delivery of capex projects. Projects range in value up to circa £1m and may require a variety of engineering disciplines including Buildings, Civils, Mechanical, Electrical, Utilities, Control and Software disciplines.

To be successful in this role you will: 

  • Ensure all projects are delivered safely, complying with all relevant legislative, Musk and client standards
  • Carry out regular H&S and Quality auditing of projects and sites, promoting use of processes and procedures to achieve high standards throughout the project lifecycle
  • Oversee and take overall responsibility for the development and accurate costing of proposals.
  • Understand the overall design and engineering requirements of projects prior to commencement.
  • Ensure the transfer of information from the proposal / bid manager to the project manager at the start of the project
  • Manage and drive cost reduction exercises and value engineering for projects post order – pre-execution

To be considered for this role you will need to be:



  • Experience in delivering projects on manufacturing sites, preferably in the food / hygienic manufacturing sectors.
  • Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and applicable regulations and guidelines
  • Experience of management and coordination of third parties
  • Relevant vocational training (PMP, PRINCE2, APM or similar). 
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Excellent proposal writing and thought skills to win new business
