My client, based in Stamford, is looking to employ a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. This business has seen solid growth over the past four years in the upper end of the private and investor market on property renovations and new builds up to £2m house price level. You will be responsible for helping to drive the team performance of the company and working directly with the MD you will get first-hand experience of projects throughout the entire process, from tender, estimation, delivery and final accounts. 
This role is commutable from Stamford, Peterborough, Rutland, Grantham, Oakham and Melton Mowbray.

The Role of Quantity Surveyor

  • Ensure that contracts achieve the optimum cash flow position.
  • Prepare and manage key and large-risk subcontract accounts from inception to final accounts
  • Provide input and cost and value engineering advice throughout the design life of the scheme and attend initial design meetings
  • Ensure company health and safety standards and procedures are followed throughout the team 
  • Conducting site visits and progress meetings
  • Procurement of materials and subcontractors
  • Catching variations and reporting to client
  • Financial performance management
  • Full UK Driving Licence is essential of this position

The Right Person
The successful Quantity Surveyor will be degree educated in Quantity Surveying or a Similar Discipline and hold the key skills:-
  • Has experience of running projects valued between £1-10m
  • Experienced in creating bids for commercial and domestic projects
  • Experience with project management under JCT contracts 
  • Comfortable producing valuations and checking subcontractor claims
  • Commutable to Stamford and surrounding areas within 45 minutes

Salary / Package
  • Salary up to £75k per annum 
  • Starting salary will be dependent on experience 
  • 45 hour working week Monday-Friday

My client is an established firm in the specialist spray booth sector who are currently looking for a skilled individual to repair, service and maintain their spray booths on various sites within a localised patch. Full training will be provided so machinery-specific experience is not essential.
The ideal candidate base location could include Leicester, Northampton, Coventry, Tamworth, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Rugby, Lutterworth or Corby.

Other suitable job titles could include Maintenance Engineer, Service Technician, Field Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Service Engineer or Industrial Electrician, Multiskilled engineer, Electrical Maintenance Technician or similar.


The role of Field Service Engineer:
To service and maintain a range of state-of-the-art spray booths.  

  • Perform routine Maintenance 
  • Carry out testing – including LEV (Local Exhaust Ventilation), BAT (Breathing Air Test), & ACT (Air Clearance Test)
  • Electrical Servicing & Repairs 
  • Mechanical Servicing & Repairs on drives, belts, motors, shafts, and bearings.
  • Input & Extract filter replacements
  • Fault finding/diagnostics
  • Equipment retrofits and upgrades
  • Ensuring that works are carried out in compliance with current health, safety and environmental requirements
  • Flexible with overnight stays when required

Key Skills / Experience Required: 
  • Experienced in repairing, servicing or maintaining industrial machinery or commercial plant equipment 
  • Previous industries could include Automation, Plant, FMCG, Industrial, Commercial Facilities or similar
  • Must hold a valid Electrical Qualification such as City and Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or HNC/HND equivalent
  • Fault-finding experience with single or 3 phase motors
  • Mechanical hands-on experience working with changing belts, shafts, bearings, motors or drives
  • Lives local to Leicester, Northampton, Coventry or surrounding areas.
  • Happy to stay away for training within the first 2 months of the role
  • Good communication skills with a range of individuals; customers to site operatives 
  • Full clean UK Driving Licence

 Salary and Package:
  • Salary £35,776 (£17,20 per hour) door to door travel (OTE  £43k )
  • 40-hour working week with regular overtime available 
  • Company Van and Fuel Card
  • 23 days holiday 8 statutory bank holidays
  • Saturday overtime x 1.20, engineers are expected to work one Saturday per month (planned into their diary in advance)
  • A bonus of up to £100 per retrofit or equipment upgrade sold to the customer

Our established client specialises in the design and manufacturing of engineering products. They are currently looking for an Engineering Operative to assist with Mechanical Assembly duties. This role is commutable from Northampton, Rugby or Leamington Spa.

The Role of Mechanical Assembly Operative:
