My client is an established firm in the machinery sector, based in the East Midlands and commutable from Leicestershire and surrounding areas with close links to the M1, M69 and A50. They are currently looking for a skilled individual to plan and schedule maintenance and repairs jobs.


The Role:

  • Schedule and review daily jobs for 9-10 Service engineers
  • Monitor and reply to jobs booked by key clients, including arranging visits and parts needed

  • Handle all enquiries from customers regarding parts, requests for engineers and machine issues - reading drawings when necessary

  • Monitor customer responses to automated monthly emails

  • Generate quotes for any remedial work following jobs and any other quotations from customers or the sales team, i.e machine moves

  • Raise PO’s with suppliers when necessary

Minimum Skills / Experience Required:
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

  • Previous experience within planning or co-ordinating in an industry such as service, manufacturing or production

  • Mechanical or Electrical engineering qualifications or relevant industry experience (Essential)

The basics:
  • Based at the site in Leicester with potential for hybrid working after training

  • Monday to Friday 8-4:30 with a 3:30 finish on Fridays
  • 1 in 3 weekends on call to log and allocate any new jobs that come in (£50 payment)
  • Reporting to the Service Manager

  • 33 days holiday total (increases with service)

  • Company pension

Our established client specialise in providing UK-wide building services to various blue chip companies, assisting them with construction repairs and refurbs. They are currently looking to grow their team of Helpdesk Coordinators due to their increasing workload. This is commutable from Canterbury, Maidstone, Sittingbourne, Whitstable, Kennington and Gillingham.

The principal role of the Helpdesk Coordinator is to organise incoming job requests, assign them to the relevant contractors and manage them through to completion.

The Role:
- Assess incoming jobs and assign to the relevant contractor or team
- Book permits if required
- Ensure contractors have the relevant information in order to complete the job with the agreed timeframe and budget
- Constantly monitor job updates to ensure everything is going to plane
- Use internal systems and ensure all updated correctly
- Communicate with contractors and stakeholders via email and phone
- General administration duties
- Work as part of a hard-working team
- On Call 1 week in 4

Key Skills / Experience Required:
- Experience of working in a similar customer service, helpdesk, customer support or administrative role

The Role 

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Multi-Skilled commutable from Loughborough, Leicester, Coalville, Ashby, Sileby, paying from £43,145 per annum with extra overtime available. 

Scheduled on a 3 shift system, the successful candidate will have continued plans for electrical progression.

My client supplies a range of heating systems UK-wide. They are currently looking for a new Technical Support Adviser to join their team. This position could be ideal for somebody who is currently in a field-based role and looking for a better work/life balance. 

The Role: 
- Provide technical support to the general public, engineers and installers for products both in and out of warranty
- Taking calls from engineers or installers on site for in warranty products, offering technical support and diagnosing faults whilst engineer is onsite
- Issue jobs for products covered by the manufacturer’s warranty to either the engineer onsite or for customer services to allocate
- Dealing with customer/installer complaints, offer solutions and make decision. Deal with the issue as diplomatically as possible
- Logging calls onto the database by leaving notes for every conversation we have with the end users, Installers and engineer when discussing issues with products under warranty
- Answer technical related emails
- On the rare occasion that an end user or installer comes into the office, offer face to face technical advice
- In busy periods, take calls from the call log and prioritising these calls in order of, onsite, warranty, non-warranty etc
- Input job sheets onto the customer database and filing them into the relevant folders
- Advise engineers, contractors, architects, consultants and the general public on various heating and hot water systems requirements
- Occasionally attend site to assist with ongoing problems
- Rotating shifts with 2 weeks on Earlies followed by 2 weeks on Lates
- Early 7.30 to 16.30 Monday to Thursday & 7.30 to 16.00 on Friday
- Late 9.00 to 18.00 Monday to Thursday & 8.30 to 17.00 on Friday
- 50% working from home (alternating weekly) 

Minimum Skills / Experience Required: 
- Experience as a Plumber or Heating Engineer
- Diagnostics and repair/service experience on domestic boilers or heat pumps
- Must have excellent communication skills and be able to build a rapport with customers over the phone
- Must have a friendly and helpful attitude
- Computer literate and able to learn internal processes and systems
