My client is an established firm in the specialist spray booth sector who are currently looking for a skilled individual to repair, service and maintain their spray booths on various sites within a localised patch. Full training will be provided so machinery-specific experience is not essential.
The ideal candidate base location could include Leicester, Northampton, Coventry, Tamworth, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Rugby, Lutterworth or Corby.

Other suitable job titles could include Maintenance Engineer, Service Technician, Field Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Service Engineer or Industrial Electrician, Multiskilled engineer, Electrical Maintenance Technician or similar.


The role of Field Service Engineer:
To service and maintain a range of state-of-the-art spray booths.  

  • Perform routine Maintenance 
  • Carry out testing – including LEV (Local Exhaust Ventilation), BAT (Breathing Air Test), & ACT (Air Clearance Test)
  • Electrical Servicing & Repairs 
  • Mechanical Servicing & Repairs on drives, belts, motors, shafts, and bearings.
  • Input & Extract filter replacements
  • Fault finding/diagnostics
  • Equipment retrofits and upgrades
  • Ensuring that works are carried out in compliance with current health, safety and environmental requirements
  • Flexible with overnight stays when required

Key Skills / Experience Required: 
  • Experienced in repairing, servicing or maintaining industrial machinery or commercial plant equipment 
  • Previous industries could include Automation, Plant, FMCG, Industrial, Commercial Facilities or similar
  • Must hold a valid Electrical Qualification such as City and Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or HNC/HND equivalent
  • Fault-finding experience with single or 3 phase motors
  • Mechanical hands-on experience working with changing belts, shafts, bearings, motors or drives
  • Lives local to Leicester, Northampton, Coventry or surrounding areas.
  • Happy to stay away for training within the first 2 months of the role
  • Good communication skills with a range of individuals; customers to site operatives 
  • Full clean UK Driving Licence

 Salary and Package:
  • Salary £35,776 (£17,20 per hour) door to door travel (OTE  £43k )

The Role of Engineering Manager:

  • To plan, develop and implement a comprehensive, cost-effective, planned and preventative maintenance/repair programme for all engineering services/equipment, utilising the network Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • To facilitate the implementation of a planned preventative maintenance system and ensure an equitable standard of all routine checks and replacements. Lead on the service, test, diagnose and repair, where practical, mechanical and electrical installations, plant and equipment.
  • To lead the emergency maintenance team outside normal working hours by organising weekend cover for essential maintenance and contractor supervision. In addition, you will be expected to provide on-call cover for the site on a rota basis.
  • To continuously improve oneself and to attend training events and meetings in order to acquire the knowledge and skills that have been identified as beneficial to you and the hospital.
  • To plan and develop an annual Engineering Estate Plan to include a comprehensive maintenance programme for building fabric to inform the central refurbishment programme
  • To manage individual team members' performance, appraisal and rewards.
  • To be the Fire Safety Manager for your site, ensure Fire Risk Assessment and all fire alarm/emergency lighting, and fire fighting equipment is maintained according to current legislative requirements.
  • To ensure water risk assessment & treatment regimes are in place, including all appropriate measures for the prevention of Legionella.
  • To be the Authorised Person for the Piped Medical Gas System, Decontamination Equipment, Low Voltage Electrical Services, Heating and Ventilation Systems.
  • To attend appropriate committees, ensuring compliance with the governance and engineering framework. Including HMT (Hospital Management Team), Health and safety, water safety, IPC meetings.
  • To manage the ordering of spares, services and consumables for the engineering dept.
The Candidate:
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in building services management, with ideally 1 year in healthcare
  • Previous experience in managing and planning workloads for a minimum of 3 people
  • Holds a HNC in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent training/experience
  • Desirable experience: CSSD, Endoscopy, Hydrotherapy plant maintenance

The Role of Field Maintenance Engineer

  • This is a large geographical patch and will require frequent overnight stays.
  • Attending technical breakdowns on site.
  • Attending to any urgent breakdowns that can not be covered by Service Engineers.
  • Carry out planned remedial works on site not covered by Service Engineers.
  • Machine retrofits and Control system/ Energy upgrades
  • Site visits to survey jobs for accurate costing/call up
  • Reading wiring diagrams and designing simple electrical circuits
  • Working with single and three-phase electrics
  • Fitting, setting up and re-programming variable speed drives (VSDs)
  • Some simple PLC software programming, downloading programs, replacement of parts and commissioning
  • Diagnostic skills for fault finding, following control circuits to identify failure
  • Mechanical repairs with fans, fan bearings and motors
  • Ability to communicate well with customers.
  • Candidates must have a full driving license and be willing to travel across southern England
  • It would be an advantage to have experience with natural gas / LPG burners

The Candidate
  • Must hold a valid Electrical Qualification such as City and Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or HNC/HND equivalent
  • 5 years of experience in fault finding and installing VSDs (variable speed drives)
  • Has experience in fault finding on PLCs
  • Has experience of remedial works on industrial machinery or similar
  • Ability to read and work from electrical schematics and wiring diagrams 
  • Able to change mechanical components such as fans, fan bearings, motors and shafts
  • Candidates must have a full uk driving license and be willing to travel across southern England
  • Ability to communicate well with customers
  • Happy to stay overnight away from home on a frequent basis.

Salary and Package:
  • Starting salary £45,760 per annum (£22 per hour)
  • 40-hour working week with guaranteed overtime available, OTE £60,000

My client is an established firm in the specialist spray booth sector who are currently looking for a skilled individual to repair, service and maintain their spray booths on various sites within a localised patch. Full training will be provided so machinery-specific experience is not essential.

The ideal candidate base location could include St Albans, Luton, Watford, Dunstable, Hemel Hempstead, Hatfield, Borehamwood, Berkhamsted, Leighton Buzzard or Stevenage.

The role of Field Service Engineer:
To service and maintain a range of state-of-the-art spray booths.  

  • Perform routine Maintenance 
  • Carry out testing – including LEV (Local Exhaust Ventilation), BAT (Breathing Air Test), & ACT (Air Clearance Test)
  • Electrical Servicing & Repairs 
  • Mechanical Servicing & Repairs on drives, belts, motors, shafts, and bearings.
  • Input & Extract filter replacements
  • Fault finding/diagnostics
  • Equipment retrofits and upgrades
  • Ensuring that works are carried out in compliance with current health, safety and environmental requirements
  • Flexible with overnight stays when required

Key Skills / Experience Required: 
  • Experienced in repairing, servicing or maintaining industrial machinery or commercial plant equipment 
  • Previous industries could include Automation, Plant, FMCG, Industrial, Commercial Facilities or similar
  • Must hold a valid Electrical Qualification such as City and Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or HNC/HND equivalent
  • Fault-finding experience with single or 3 phase motors
  • Mechanical hands-on experience working with changing belts, shafts, bearings, motors or drives
  • Lives local to Watford, Luton, Hemel Hempstead, Aylesbury or St Albans.
  • Happy to stay away for training within the first 3 months of the role
  • Good communication skills with a range of individuals; customers to site operatives 
  • Full clean UK Driving Licence

 Salary and Package:
  • Salary £38,272-£44,500 per annum
