The Role of CMM Programmer:

  • Programme CMM machines for various components. Zeiss CMM ideally
  • Capable of using more traditional checking equipment, height gauges, micrometers, verniers, gauging (hard & electronic) etc
  • Understand & interpret 2D drawings and models
  • Control & influence quality procedures
  • Be the hands-on part of the NPI / design team introduction

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced administrator to join an established engineering business with excellent projected growth.  The role is based within the Buyer/Procurement team and will effectively evolve into the successful candidate becoming an  Assistant Buyer, supporting the Senior Buyer to ensure that clients expectations are managed.  This role is integral to the stock management required to support blue chip high value accounts.

 

Duties include:

  • Processing monthly orders from key accounts
  • Cross referencing to ensure that information is correctly entered from the clients schedule to ERP Redthorn 
  • Ensuring that Excel is updated to mirror current stock levels and additional stock is logged to fulfill orders
  • Generating purchase orders as agreed with your Senior Buyer utilising preferred suppliers
  • Contacting suppliers to order stock
  • Accepting deliveries of stock arrival, checking against allocated purchase order
  • Matching purchase orders to delivery notes, streamlining the accounts process
  • Gaining an understanding of technical drawings, enabling you to recognise and allocate the correct materials
