Are you an experienced Handyman or Site Maintenance Operative looking for immediate work in South Derbyshire

If so, this could be perfect for you. My engineering client needs a Handyman to assist with door hanging, painting and decorating, site cleaning, general DIY and other duties. This vacancy is commutable from Coalville, Ashby De la Zouch, Derby and surrounding areas

THE ROLE:

- Door hanging

Painting and decorating

- Fixing units to walls and general DIY

- Cleaning and site labouring duties

- Working inside and outside of the building

THE PERSON:

- Handyman or Site Maintenance experience

- Happy to undertake a wide variety of duties, including basic repairs and cleaning duties

- Hardworking and takes responsibility for making sure deadlines are met

- Able to commute to the DE11 area

- Counterbalance licence desirable but not essential

THE PACKAGE:

- Day Shifts - Mon to Thurs 08.00-17.00

- Early finish Friday's

Production Operative

Paying from £9 Paye up to £13.44 UMB per hour

Must be flexible on any shift

Our well-established client has recently taken on a major project within the UK that will ensure continuous work throughout the next two years,

to complement their successful precast concrete manufacturing business.

Job Role:

Production Operatives will be required to learn and understand how to clean moulds and assemble them in preparation for casting.

Each operative will be expected to assist in filling the moulds achieve a finished smooth finish by the use of trowelling techniques.

Other daily duties will include maintaining a clean working environment and preparing moulds /components for the following day/shift and other labouring duties.

Working as a team member is essential!

Working Hours: Operatives will be expected to work a two shift system on a weekly rotating basis.

Shifts available between the hours of - 07:00am - 07:00am

Must be flexible

Requirements: All concrete workers must

1.) Be physically fit- As this is a very physical role

2.) Have their own transport (for getting to and from work)

3.) Must complete an application and monitoring form before being considered for an interview.

My client is an established Manufacturing specialist based in Swadlincote with a distinguished reputation, looking to a Licensed FLT Driver to join their busy team. Commutable from Derby,Burton Upon Trent, Ashby De La Zouch , Barrow-upon-trent and Coalville.


Paying from £9 per hour up to £11 UMB per hour.

Working hours from 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday.

You will need to be a fully licensed counter balance driver.

Duties will include:

Operating a FLT counter balance truck

Moving stock and materials in and around the workshop.

Potentially Loading and unloading stock and materials.

Cleaning in and around the workshop, this will include emptying of tipper skips using the FLT counter balance trucks well as maintaining cleaning standards.

Ensure that you work in a safe and secure manner at all times.

Cleaning machinery and other sections within the workshop as and when required.

The successful Fabricator will be working for an employer who has a full order book for 2019/2020

The Candidate

The successful fabricator will be a proactive and competent member of the Company you will be responsible for the fabrication and final fitting of multiple parts to ensure internal and customer demands are met.

Main responsibilities include:

  • The fabrication, assembly of sheet metal products and equipment

Work may include:

  • Setting up and operating fabricating machines;

  • Use of hand tools to cut, bend and straighten sheet metal;

  • Shaping metal over blocks or forms using hammer;

  • Inspecting, assembling and smoothing seams and joints of welded, brazed or burred surfaces.

  • The role may involve assembly fitting to complete units or sub-assemblies, using various tools and/or special equipment, bonding point preparation, the use of bonding products or adhesives, riveting and wire locking.

  • Reading engineering drawings

Competencies

- Minimum 4 year sheet metal/fabrication apprenticeship or the ability to demonstrate equivalent experience.

- Knowledge of machines, tools, including use, repair and maintenance.

- The ability to read and understand technical drawings.

- Flexibility and the ability to adapt to the organisation's ever changing requirements are a priority.

- Self motivated with a drive for results and continual improvement.

- The role requires physical activity including lifting.
