Electrician

My client is an established electrical firm with offices around the West and East Midlands. They are currently looking for a NICEIC qualified electrician to work on customer sites based in Rugby and Daventry. 
 
The Role - Electrician:
- Travelling to commercial and industrial customer sites around Rugby and Daventry areas
- Completing a variety of electrical installations and lighting repairs 
- To advise engineers and the management team on any technical / electrical matters. Typically, NICEIC requirements on projects.
- Inspect Electrical Certification issued by other engineers within the business.
-Completing the minor works and installation certificates on completion of any electrical installations or alterations.
- To provide technical support and assistance in all aspects of Electrical Work.
- To carry out post audits of other engineers' electrical work as required by NICEIC.
- To actively monitor compliance in relation to engineers electrical test equipment
- To carry out your duties and responsibilities as appointed person for the Company NICEIC accreditation.
 
Minimum Skills / Experience Required - Electrician:
- Working across commercial, industrial and domestic sectors.
- Supervisor experience or happy to progress 
- JIB card with 18th edition
- City and Guild 2391 testing and inspection.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Current Experience of carrying out an NICEIC QS role.
- Experience of industrial installation work.
 
The Package - Electrician:
- Starting salary up to £38,000 per annum

Our client is a leading component designer, manufacturer, and supplier, specialising in the machining, assembly, and testing of a number of product ranges for the global marketplace. They are currently looking for a new Material Controller to purchase, plan & organise material supplies for the manufacturing site in line with customer demand schedules and stocking rules.
 
The Role of Stock Controller:

  • Manage inventory to meet company cost and supply objectives
  • Conversion of customer schedules into Excel & SAGE systems and in turn into supplier schedules for all materials
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the MRP system, and demand-pull systems
  • Purchase materials and supplies to keep production running
  • Manage and expedite the timely supply of materials to feed SMT’s production process
    Manage the raw material inventory and be responsible for maintaining stock accuracy and value
  • Manage the waste streams generated by the manufacturing process (scrap & rejects)
  • Maintain measures of customer performance, supplier performance and inventory
  • Present measures at agreed intervals to the management team
  • Undertake those tasks that are from time to time reasonably requested by the Operations Management team
  • Assist in the setting of schedule parameters for suppliers and internal schedules produced by the MRP system
  • Assist in the implementation of demand-pull (Kanban) systems as required
  • Assist the Operations Management team in the design of computerised materials systems improvements
  • Seek continuous improvement in the areas under your control and have input into the overall management of the company

 Minimum Skills / Experience Required:
  • Experience as a Material Controller, Material Purchaser or Material Planner, preferably from within an engineering manufacturing business
  • Proven experience working with SAGE or similar MRP systems

  • Inventory management experience
  • Self-motivated and takes responsibility when things go wrong
  • Has the ability to review current processes and identify improvements

 
The Package:
  • Salary up to £30k, depending on experience 
  • Monday to Friday (7.30am-4:30pm, 12.30pm finish on Fridays)
  • Pension
  • 23 Days Holiday plus Bank Holidays

Our client is a leading component designer, manufacturer, and supplier, specialising in the machining, assembly, and testing of a number of product ranges for their global marketplace. They are currently looking for a new Production Assembly Supervisor to join their growing team based in Southam, Warwickshire.

The Role of Assembly Supervisor:

  • Helping to grow and then manage a team of Assembly Technicians within a high-spec electro-mechanical manufacturing workshop
  • Supervising a team of up to 13 direct reports
  • Manage assembly equipment and tooling maintenance plans to schedule
  • Ensure health, safety and environmental standards are observed – participate fully in Health & Safety steering and workstation risk assessments
  • Assist and provide valued input into line layouts, installation and commissioning, and future processes and fixture specifications
  • Monitor and manage production KPIs such as: Customer Schedule Adherence

 Minimum Skills / Experience Required - Workshop Supervisor:
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Production Supervisor or Assembly Team Leader within an engineering manufacturing workshop
  • Good understanding of electro-mechanical assembly process and constraints
  • Experience working to and helping configure electronic work instructions and production record systems
  • Able to support recruitment activities and induct new starters 
  • Possess excellent customer quality focus
  • Be familiar with the correct application of PPE
  • Be familiar with risks (to product) associated with ESD
  • Be very familiar with safe operation around HV products and systems and be prepared to coach and manage others
 
The Package - Engineering Team Leader:
  • Salary up to £40k, depending on experience 
  • Morning Shift - Mon to Fri - 6am to 2pm
  • Pension
