Field Sales Manager

 

Location: London 

Salary: £40,000-£45,000 bonus Car  (DOE)

Hours: Monday-Friday

Package benefits: company car, pension, 28 days annual leave, hardware provided

 

The company:

Leading manufacturer and supplier of platform lifts, working across the UK. This reputable company supplies bespoke platform lifts into households and private businesses within the construction and public sectors. Established over 70 years ago, the business has grown to become the “go-to” supplier for slow moving platform lifts across the UK. Due to success within the sales team the business is now looking for a Sales Manager to cover the London region.

 

The role:
 

  • The Sales Manager will manage existing trade accounts and end users, offer high levels of customer service and retain business
     
  • Generate new business through lead generation, use internal data to convert warm leads, this includes the use of Barbour ABI
     
  • Work in partnership with an internal sales manager to follow up on leads and sales opportunities externally
     
  • Recognise new business opportunities through market research and networking
     
  • Generate and process orders onto internal systems
     
  • Meet with potential clients to present business opportunities
     
  • Take a consultative approach to sales, understanding the client needs and advise on the best product to suit their needs
     
  • Work towards sales targets
     
  • Proactively build relationships with key account holders from businesses within construction, public sector, private and local authorities
     

The person:

The ideal Sales Manager will have experience selling within the platform lifts or material handling sector. The company may also consider an experienced Sales Manager from other industries however this candidate must have worked in a field based role.
 

  • As a Sales Manager you will have at least 5 years experience within regional/field sales, ideally within platform lifts
     
  • Have an ability to meet sales targets through lead generation and securing new business
     
  • Be proactive and able to manage personal work load effectively
     
  • Have a proven track record in building relationships with clients
     
  • Have strong communication skills both verbal and written
     
  • Hold a full UK drivers licence
