Salary £25-30k basic plus bonus - flexible working hours

The successful Sales Account Manager will be working for an employer who is an established well known industrial consumables supplier. European based manufacturing and Uk based bespoke manufacturing gives this company the edge and an unrivalled reputation.

Industries they supply into are Aerospace, Auto Refinishing, Construction, foundry, fabrication, welding, rail and woodworking. Across the 12 field salespeople, the average length of service is over 10 years so this company can offer stability, growth coupled with a great product.

The role

The new MD has changed the direction of sales giving the field sales more time and opportunities to chase the larger more profitable accounts, hence this newly created role offering account management support to the smaller ad hoc accounts. You will be responsible for 500 to 1,000 accounts that have different levels of spend but huge potential to spend more. Your task will be to understand these accounts and build relationships with them understanding their needs and identifying how much of their spend the business currently gets and build a strategy to get more of this spend. This role is mostly office based however there will be some opportunity to go out and meet customers.

The person

This position is ideal for someone who has sales account management experience, you may have sold any industrial consumable. However, the products can be taught motivation and sales ability is essential for this role.

You will have account management experience and have managed a sizable ledger before. You will have first class communications skills and have the ability to use internal systems to track and progress these accounts.
