I’m working exclusively with a growing business in the groundworks and civils sector, which is looking to appoint an Internal Sales Executive at their Leeds office.
This is a great opportunity for someone with civils or groundworks sales experience who enjoys outbound, phone-based sales and is looking for a role with genuine progression as the business continues to expand.
Key responsibilities include:
Proactive outbound sales calls to contractors, groundworkers, merchants, and stabilisation companies
Managing and developing an existing database of circa 250 civils/groundworks contacts
Generating new enquiries, following up leads, and maintaining regular customer contact
Managing CRM data accurately (full training provided)
Building relationships with merchants and supporting their sales activity
Handling commercial conversations, negotiation, and account management
Driving sales during peak seasonal demand periods
The role will initially be standalone, but there is clear scope for progression into a leadership position or for the successful candidate to become the product specialist as the business grows.
The Candidate:
Sales experience within groundworks, earthworks, civils, or civil merchants
Confidence and resilience in a phone-based sales environment
A proactive approach to outbound sales and pipeline development
Strong organisational skills and experience using CRM systems
A genuine interest in developing long-term customer relationships
Ability to commute daily to Leeds (this is not a hybrid role). Experience selling to or working with merchants.
