Are you looking for a fresh challenge in a dynamic engineering environment? A long-standing, privately owned engineering business in the Lincolnshire region is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Technician to join its growing team.
This is a varied and hands-on role where you'll be instrumental in driving business growth, developing client relationships, and promoting a broad portfolio of engineering solutions—particularly within industrial pumps and valves. You'll work closely with customers to deliver tailored solutions, including repairs, refurbishments, and system improvements.
The Role As a Sales Technician, you will:
Identify and develop new business opportunities across multiple sectors
Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
Prepare detailed quotations, proposals, and technical reports
Carry out site visits and surveys with clients and prospects
Negotiate and secure sales agreements, including scope and terms
Compile and assess tenders, costings, and project requirements
Monitor sales performance and provide regular updates and insights
Maintain accurate records using CRM systems
Plan and manage your own schedule, including client visits and prospecting
Represent the business at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events
Provide technical guidance and product knowledge to customers
Act as a key liaison between customers, engineers, workshop teams, and senior management
Support marketing initiatives, including social media engagement and campaign activity
Contribute to sales forecasting and performance analysis
About You We're looking for someone who has:
A proven background in sales, ideally within engineering, pumps, valves, or similar industries
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Confidence in negotiation and problem-solving
The ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Excellent organisation and reporting capabilities
A talent for explaining technical concepts clearly and effectively
Experience using Microsoft Office and CRM systems
A full UK driving licence
