My client maintains a number of prestigious, high-end Offices and buildings in Central London. As the Mechanical & Electrical Supervisor you will be assisting in the operation and maintenance of various site’s around Central London, whilst also overseeing works completed by your team at their allocated sites.
Commutable from areas including Mayfair, Marylebone, Paddington, Kensington, Westminster, Soho, Shepherd’s Bush and St James Park.
  
The Role of the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

  • “On the tools” supervisor providing ongoing support to the multi-skilled team of engineers who are covering a combined 30 offices around central London
  • Carry out a mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance program on a cluster of 4 buildings to ensure the upkeep of the facilities and building site services
  • Liaising with Centre Managers on a day-to-day basis regarding M&E issues
  • To ensure that all buildings are maintained to a high standard including maintaining electrical appliances, plumbing and mechanical systems/building utilities
  • Ensuring that site health and safety rules are followed
  • Day-to-day planning to ensure that site service SLA’s are adhered to
  • Arranging team cover for staff holidays and absence
  • Ensure that resources are used efficiently
  • Ensure standards of work are maintained and tasks are completed within the given timescale
  • Hand tools will be provided by the company

The Candidate
  • Must have Building or Facilities Maintenance experience including; electrical wiring, heating, plumbing works, painting and decorating
  • Must possess an Electrical qualification (City and Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or HNC/HND equivalent)
  • Prior experience in managing, supervising, leading or providing support to a team
  • Willingness to travel around London-based sites 
  • Able to confidently use hand tools
  • Strong understanding of building health and safety 
  • Must be within a 30-40 minute commute of Mayfair
  • Happy to work as part of the on-call rota for 1 week in 7
  • Ability to work under own initiative 
  • Highly motivated

Package Details
  • Salary £40,000-£47,000 per annum

My client have been serving the Aerospace and Defense industry for over 50 years. They are responsible for design-in and sales of Electro-Mechanical components and Electro-Optical devices and have built a solid reputation across European markets.

They are looking for a technical minded Sales Manager to grow their existing client base whilst constantly 'HUNTING' for new projects and opportunities. The successful individual will be supported by the European head office for orders, logistics and (SOME) administrative matters. Their technical experts will also provide support in case of complex issues. It is expected for the individual to be up and running effectively from the start following initial training. The deals worked on often go through long design phases and it can take long for proper orders to materialise. However, good programs will keep delivering business year after year with some individuals substantially increasing their income.

Covering South of the UK, Person to be ideally located along the M25 corridor or south of this as the role will involve 'ALOT' of travelling so potential applicants must have a full clean driving license.

The Role:

  • Search for new clients and opportunities, whilst maintaining existing accounts
  • Technical knowledge to provide a 'Solution Sales' approach 
  • Fully advise customers in the design-in phase
  • Work with independently and feel confident in your abilities.
  • Extensive travel to customer locations
Minimum Skills / Experience Required: 
  • Experience in Aerospace, Defense, or Telecommunications industry
  • Mechanical or Electrical engineering background
  • Ability to demonstrate experience and knowledge to educate clients
  • Full clean driving license
  • Work on there own as this is a Work for Home role

This reputable company supplies bespoke platform lifts into households and private businesses within the construction and public sectors. Due to success within the sales team the business is now looking for a Sales Manager to cover the London region.

 

The role:
 

  • The Sales Manager will manage existing trade accounts and end users, offer high levels of customer service and retain business
     
  • Generate new business through lead generation, use internal data to convert warm leads, this includes the use of Barbour ABI
     
  • Work in partnership with an internal sales manager to follow up on leads and sales opportunities externally
     
  • Recognise new business opportunities through market research and networking
     
  • Generate and process orders onto internal systems
     
  • Meet with potential clients to present business opportunities
     
  • Take a consultative approach to sales, understanding the client needs and advise on the best product to suit their needs
     
  • Work towards sales targets
     
  • Proactively build relationships with key account holders from businesses within construction, public sector, private and local authorities
     

The person:

The ideal Sales Manager will have experience selling within the platform lifts or material handling sector. The company may also consider an experienced Sales Manager from other industries however this candidate must have worked in a field based role.
 

  • As a Sales Manager you will have at least 5 years experience within regional/field sales, ideally within platform lifts
     
  • Have an ability to meet sales targets through lead generation and securing new business
     
  • Be proactive and able to manage personal work load effectively
     
  • Have a proven track record in building relationships with clients
     
  • Have strong communication skills both verbal and written
     
  • Hold a full UK drivers licence
