We are recruiting a Field Service Engineer to work for a successful market leader within their industry, which is a provider of weighing, X-Ray and detection technology for the food industry. They are looking to add a new Field Service Engineer, multi-skilled but electrically biased, to their already successful team.
Suitable candidate locations should be close to or South of Luton, Bristol, Milton Keynes, Gloucester, Oxford, Bath or Swindon.

The Role of Field Service Engineer:
To install, service, maintain and calibrate a wide range of machinery for food industry such as checkweighers and X-rays and metal detection technology:
- Travelling to customer sites around the UK
- Electrical/ Mechanical servicing and repairs
- Perform routine maintenance
- Fault finding and diagnostics
- Working in fast-moving, high-pressure environments
- On-site Health & Safety
- Ensuring that works are carried out in compliance with current health, safety and environmental requirements
- Tools will be provided
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in a field service engineer or mobile role is essential
- Previous experience in repairing, installing or servicing food, FMCG, industrial or automated machinery
- Prior experience repairing or fault-finding on single-phase motors or control panels
- Previously repaired mechanical components such as rollers, bearings or belts
- Happy to stay away from home during the week
- Experience within Service/Install or Automation would be beneficial
- Must hold a full clean UK drivers licence and a valid passport
- Happy to work in fast-paced and potentially stressful food factories
Benefits/Package:
- Salary £30,000-£35,000 per annum DOE
- 08:45 to 16:45 Monday to Friday
- £40 overnight stay bonus per night
- Overtime paid at time and a half over 37.5 hours
- Holidays: 25 days plus Bank Holidays
- Double pay on Sundays and Bank Holidays
