We have an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Structural Engineer who is looking for a new challenge! Joining the existing team you will be integral to the business development as the practice grows. Working mostly in the residential and commercial sectors on a wide range of projects. Ideally you will have some form of working experience in this field, be that from a placement / work experience or perhaps you are already a year or two into your career and looking for a move.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and analysis of structural and civil engineering projects, including buildings, infrastructure, and temporary works.
  • Prepare technical drawings, calculations, and design reports under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Carry out site visits and inspections to gather data, monitor progress, and check construction against design specifications.
  • Support the preparation of tender documents, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other professionals to support smooth project delivery.
  • Conduct technical research to support engineering decisions and ensure compliance with current codes and standards.
  • Assist in modelling and analysis using relevant engineering software.
  • Contribute to the preparation of risk assessments and method statements.
  • Maintain accurate project records and assist in compiling project documentation for submission.
  • Proactively develop technical skills through training, mentoring, and hands-on project involvement.

  

The Right Person

The successful Graduate Structural Engineer will have experience in the following areas:

  • A suitable engineering degree MEng/BEng in Structural OR Civil engineering.
  • Knowledge of standard engineering practices, techniques, procedures, and Structural principles.
  • At least 1 year of practice experience, either during university or after.
