Stores Manager- Engineering Sector 
Salary: £30k-£35k 
Location: Cheddar
 
My client is a leading provider of electro-mechanical services and is looking for a Stores Manager to join their team in Cheddar. They are seeking a motivated individual to oversee and manage all store activities, staff, stock, and logistics, ensuring efficient operations and strong supplier/customer relationships. 
Other job titles might include: Warehouse Manager, Stock Control Manager, Inventory Manager, Stores Supervisor, Supply Chain Manager, Stores & Logistics, Stock Manager, Depot Manager, Stores Controller, Inventory Controller, Stock Controller, Logistics Coordinator, or similar. 
 
Key Responsibilities - Stores Manager: 

• Manage the recording, booking, and documentation of jobs as a Stores manager 
• Oversee transport and logistics (including driving when required). 
• Ensure effective stock and inventory management, reporting, and analysis. ● Support cost reduction through efficient purchasing. 
• Liaise with the Workshop team on non-stock parts. 
• Lead stock control, including stock takes and housekeeping of stores. 
• Manage and support store staff (administrator and drivers). 
• Generate reports as directed by management. 

Skills & Experience Required - Stores Manager: 

• Proven experience in a similar store or stock management role as a Store Manager 
• Strong inventory management skills. 
• Proficient in Excel and reporting - pivot tables, analysis, etc. 
• Managing or supervisory experience of a small team (desirable) 
• Effective communication and leadership abilities. 
• Organised, adaptable, and efficient with time management. 
• Strong team management skills. 

Salary and Package 

• £30k-£35k 
• Monday-Friday Day Shifts 8 am-5 pm
