Our established client is a global market leader in their field. They are seeking an experienced and dedicated SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) Manager to lead, develop, and manage their existing programs. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies while promoting a safe and sustainable workplace.
Alternative job titles could include HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment), EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety), and QHSE (Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment), at Manager, Advisor or Coordinator levels. This role is commutable from Bristol, Portishead, Weston-super-Mare, Bath and Cheddar.
Key Responsibilities - SHEQ Manager
Develop, implement, and maintain SHEQ policies, procedures, and systems.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including ISO standards.
Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and site inspections.
Provide SHEQ training, guidance, and support to employees.
Lead incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.
Monitor and report on SHEQ performance metrics.
Collaborate with management to establish a strong safety and quality culture.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Experience Required - QHSE Manager
Proven experience in a SHEQ management role, preferably within a manufacturing,
engineering or construction environment.
Strong knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and quality management systems (e.g.,
ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification (essential)
IEMA or NEBOSH Environmental Management (desirable)
IOSH membership (desirable)
Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
