My client is an established engineering manufacturing firm based in Hertford and commutable from Stevenage, Luton, St Albans, Hatfield, Harlow and Buntingford. They are currently looking for a skilled Toolmaker to join their team.
 
The Role: Toolmaker/Skilled Machinist
- Service, maintain and repair mould tools
- Working from drawings
- Quality control of components
- Manual Milling
- Various duties such as drilling, spark eroding, polishing and milling
- Surface grinding
 
Minimum Skills / Experience Required: Toolmaker/Skilled Machinist
- Experience with manual milling and grinding
- Toolmaking experience
- Manufacturing industry experience
- Good knowledge of tool room equipment
- Experience with Precision Engineering and working to tight tolerances
- Experience in the Manufacturing industry is desirable
- Experience working from engineering drawings
- Able to quality check own parts
- Able to work under pressure and to deadlines with a high level of quality standards achieved
- Motivated and excellent team player
 
The Package: Manual Machinist
- Starting rate up to £25 per hour dependent on experience
- Day shifts are Mon – Thurs, 08:00-16:30 Friday - 08:00-15:30
- Pension
- 33 Days Holiday
