Blood, sweat and tears!

£320 Raised for far for Georgie's Gift

Our nominated charity this year is Georgie's Gift. The charity was set up in memory of Georgie Hall, who sadly fell ill in February 2015 at only 23 months old. Tragically, Georgie passed away a few days later after being diagnosed with Meningitis and Septicaemia.

Precision People felt it was only right to support such a worthy cause and play a part in helping others.

Georgie's Gift is a charity which was relatable and touched many at Precision People, as commented by Jo Walker, Marketing Director:

"We decided to nominate a charity each year to give something back to the local community. Logistics consultant Steve Eston knew Georgie's family personally and we wanted to support their efforts. Many of the staff have young children so the story of Georgie really struck a chord with a lot of the team."

Founder of Georgie's Gift Matt Hall commented:

"Georgie's Gift are extremely pleased to be working collaboratively with Precision People as their chosen charity of the year and we're hugely grateful that you have decided to support us. The donations you raise for us will go on to make some huge differences to people's lives as we look to help causes in need. At the same time, it will help support the charities main objective of raising awareness around the signs and symptoms of meningitis.
We are currently in our first year as an official charity and working together will continue to grow Georgie's Gift and help it become more of a success than it already has been in such a short space of time by fundraising and helping others."

Georgie's Gift has seen tremendous fundraising efforts from friends, family and the local community so far in their first year to help develop and promote the charity. The charity also has its own Total Giving page allowing people donate.

Jo, commented on the unique method Precision People raise money for charity:

"Consultants volunteer to donate to Georgie's Gifts every time they place someone in a new job. Precision People then match what they chose to donate. We've raised a total of £320 this year with some more funds to come in."

The Founder of the charity Georgie's father Matt Hall, also commented on some of the fundraising events that have happened thus far:

"We have had some superb events already this year such as a Golf Day, a World Record Attempt, a Fun Run and a Summer Ball. All building up towards 18 of us climbing Kilimanjaro in October which has already seen us raise over £60k and some fantastic awareness.

As a result, we have already been able to make 2 significant donations. 1 to the Meningitis Research Foundation, which we will continue to support and the other to a little boy from Nuneaton who needs to go to America for a life-changing operation."
