We're recruiting on behalf of a market-leading precision engineering and manufacturing business that delivers high-performance components and assemblies into sectors such as Defence, Aerospace, Bio-Tech, and High-Tech Industrial Applications.
 
As part of their next phase of growth, our client is seeking an experienced and well-connected Senior Business Development Manager to drive sales expansion across new territories and markets. This is a key strategic role for a proven sales professional with an established network and a passion for building long-term commercial partnerships.
 
The Role
As Senior Business Development Manager, you will:
  • Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new business across target sectors.
  • Leverage your existing customer relationships and network to open new doors quickly.
  • Manage the complete sales process — from prospecting through to proposal, negotiation, and close.
  • Build and maintain a robust, high-quality sales pipeline.
  • Develop structured account plans to grow key customer relationships.
  • Collaborate closely with internal technical and commercial teams to ensure excellent customer outcomes.
  • Provide valuable market insight to shape ongoing sales strategy and business planning.
About You
To be considered for this Senior Business Development Manager role, you must have:
  • A proven track record in business development or sales within advanced manufacturing, CNC machining, or precision engineering.
  • An active list of industry contacts, leads, or customers you can approach immediately to generate new business opportunities.
  • Strong technical understanding and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Excellent commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and sales acumen.
  • Experience using CRM systems and strong MS Office (Excel, Word) capability.
  • A proactive, driven mindset with the ability to work independently and deliver results.
