About the Role

Are you a skilled Mechanical Fitter with hands-on experience repairing electric motors, pumps, and gearboxes?

As my client is one of the UK’s leading companies that provides a variety of high-quality services across multiple industries, and are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their team. 

Key Responsibilities

• Repair, refurbish, and service electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out testing on both mechanical and electrical components.
• Strip down, rebuild, and test equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Work to strict health, safety, and quality standards, maintaining accurate service records.
• Collaborate with engineers and workshop teams to meet customer requirements and deadlines.

Skills & Experience

• Proven background in mechanical or electrical engineering, ideally within a workshop or maintenance setting.
• Strong working knowledge of electric motors, pumps, or gearboxes (highly desirable).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
• A proactive team player with a positive, “can-do” attitude.
