Significant experience in the following:

Experience of selling insulation (essential)

Knowledge and contacts in builders merchants and insulation distributors or have worked for one of these companies.

Self motivated hunter mentality

Exceptional negotiation skills

The Role:

Covering the UK, dealing with all national merchant accounts and distributors accounts, these accounts are a large percentage of the company turnover. You will be maintaining strong relationships at a senior level and rolling out action plans through the merchant sales teams (although you are not managing these people).

You will help retain current deals and go after new deal to maximise product exposure. You may have contacts yourself but the MD has these contacts for you to capitalise on.

A bit of a mixed big with lots of responsibilities in different areas of the business, you will be involved with Projects, Health & Safety, Resource Planning, Risk Management and the Management of a highly skilled team of Engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the performance of the engineering tea, including annual reviews, weekly one to ones

The Role: Embedded Electronics Engineer

Due to aggressive business growth, my client have a need for an Embedded Electronics Engineer. You will be responsible for taking an idea from concept through to production within the framework of the Companies Quality Management System. You must have a good understanding of the electronics market and a keen interest in new technology developments.

The Company

Key Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for capturing technical requirements from customers, estimate time and resource for project delivery.

  • Design, prototype and testing of the designs

  • Working in collaboration with the clients the designs will be captured in schematic form, you will then lay out the printed circuit board.

  • Once prototype units are produced you will test, modify and update them to produce fully working designs backed up by test results, appropriate records and design documentation.

  • You will support the units through compliance testing to ensure the end client has a fully working and fully compliant product

The Right Person

The successful Embedded Electronics Engineer will have the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum of 2:1 Hons Degree in Electronics, Physics or a related discipline

  • At least 2 years experience of product development

  • Demonstrable capability for Printed Circuit layout of at least 6 layer boards

  • Hands on prototyping and test skills

  • Working knowledge of Altium Designer

  • Debug and fault diagnosis down to component level backed up by robust laboratory skills for test and measurement

Desirable Skills

  • Understanding of EMC (design to meet and resolve issues that occur)

  • Embedded firmware capabilities for microcontrollers either bare metal or RTOS

  • Low power radio communications experience

  • Experience working within a quality management system
