What experience would you need to be considered?
  • Hands-on Quality/Quality supplier experience of an SME manufacturing business 
  • Around 5-10 years proven experience within a broad quality engineering background ideally gained in special purpose machinery,turnkey engineering solutions or bespoke engineering machinery
  • Qualified Quality Engineer with experience, ideally with manufacturing processes to include Fabrication, Machining and precision  engineering
  • demonstrable track record of success operating in a manufacturing/assembly environment, providing ongoing development of QMS to ISO 9001:2015 
  • Supporting with the Supplier Approval process 
  • Performing internal and supplier audits, including their planning and report writing. 
  • Providing support with inspection activities including goods inwards, monitoring of assembly and testing processes 
  • Initiating and when required, leading continuous improvement activities identified by analysis of KPIs, investigations and other data

Supplying some of the most well-known businesses in the world including Formula 1 teams, Airbus and Boeing. We are looking to recruit a field service engineer to focus on the M4 corridor, with some international travel (when permitted).
 
What the Role will Involve:

  • Working to a pre-defined maintenance schedule you will be servicing and conducting preventative maintenance on the test rigs.
  • Responding to breakdowns.
  • Involved with the installation, commissioning and calibration of new and existing rigs.
  • Fault finding to component level on complex mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Mechanically you will be working on hydraulics, assemblies and sub-assemblies, moving parts, bearings, gearboxes etc.
  • Electrically you will be working on single and three-phase PLC controlled systems. There is also a lot of instrumentation contained within the rigs to gather and log the data.
  • Home-based, your patch will predominantly be the south of the UK, covering the M4 corridor, home counties and the south-east. There will be some international travel when restrictions have been lifted.  Travel will be predominantly European.

 
What we are looking for in the Candidate:

  • Experienced service and maintenance engineer backed up with an engineering qualification.
  • Multi-skilled, with some PLC experience.
  • Happy with international travel.
  • Full, valid UK driving licence.
  • Based in the South of England to be near or on your patch.

The Role - Business Development Manager - Sub Contract Machining

The aim of the Business Development Manager is to provide a smooth interface between the customer and the company, to develop business relationships in order to provide sufficient opportunities to meet the company’s financial goals.

To work within the Sales team in the development of new and repeat sales for the subcontract machining business. Liaising with all customers that are allocated and to collate estimates and produce quotations on any opportunities that arise from that customer base.     Stores person duties include :
  • Loading of goods to Company vehicles, in strict accordance with Safe Working Practice methods
    and Risk Assessments.
  • Liaison with Management in relation to schedule of goods for collection from suppliers/delivery
    to customers, or sub-contractors, on a daily basis.
  •  Control of delivery documentation and passing to Stores Administration.
  • General daily preventative maintenance checks of Company vehicles prior to commencement of
    work for that day, reporting any faults/defects to Management.
  • Ensuring adequate protection of goods in transit. Discovery of penetration of water etc., onto
    wrapped part must be reported to base supervision before off-loading at customer.
  • Daily housekeeping and general cleaning and tidiness of vehicles and particularly of bar stock and
    saw areas of stores and general adherence to 5S principles.
  • Sawing of bar stock and issue of raw material to Fabrication/Welding/Machining and return of
    surplus material to stock, making sure all material remains identified at all times.
  • General movement to and from production, part finished/finished components scheduled for
    delivery.
  • General awareness of Health & Safety issues at all times, particularly on customer/supplier
    premises, and wearing of adequate PPE relevant to work area, as defined in the relevant Risk
    Assessments and Safe Working Practice notices.
  • The role will involve computer transactions, as directed.
    Ensuring adherence to Quality Management System procedures, liaising with management,
    section heads and inspection department, as required.
