Precision People is proud to be working with one of the world's foremost manufacturers of laser technology and laser manufacturing, spanning 90 countries. Due to continuous growth, the business is now seeking an engineer to cover Northern Ireland/Republic of Ireland. As a Trainee Field Service Engineer, you will learn to commission, service and provide customer training for world-leading laser engravers. 
Candidate locations could include Dublin, Blanchardstown, Ashbourne, Dunshaughlin, Rathcoole, County Meath, County Dublin or County Kildare or surrounding areas.

Other suitable titles could include Field Service Engineer, Technical Support Engineer, Trainee Engineer, Field Engineer, Service Technician or Maintenance Technician.

The role of Trainee Field Service Engineer will include

• Extensive travel within the first 3-6 months to the UK and Austria for product training
• Servicing and repairing high-end engraving machines
• Mechanical and Electrical fault finding and troubleshooting 
• Commissioning laser systems and proprietary software 
• Troubleshooting technical problems and assisting customers and engineers with technical support over the phone
• Providing focused and bespoke customer training
• Managing a small amount of stock in the showroom
• Working closely with the Sales Manager
• Completing documentation of service and installation visits
• Delivering a high level of professionalism and customer service

The Candidate

• Experience repairing, servicing or assembling mechanical or electrical machinery or components such as CNC, PCs, vehicle mechanics, automated machinery or similar
• Proven customer service skills with a can-do attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
• Happy to provide customer service over the phone and in person
• Full clean and current driving licence (essential)
• Lives within 45 minutes of Blanchardstown D11
• A willingness to travel for training (must have a valid passport)
• An eagerness to develop technical skills and undertake training and development

Salary and Package

• Monday - Friday day shifts working hours 9am-5pm (can vary)
• Starting salary $30,000 per annum increasing to $33,000 after completion of first year internal exams then to $36,000 after the second year.
