Salary: £32k - £40K bonus

 

The Company

 

My client specialise in the component repair and repair development of Turbine Blades & Nozzle Guide Vanes for the Aerospace industry, Tay, RB211 & BR range of gas turbine engines, supported by a lean, efficient culture, providing the industry with rapid solutions to problems of component deterioration, and is a world leader in the provision of repair solutions.

 

The Role

 

As an experienced NPI / Manufacturing Engineer, you will work to OEM and Customer specifications to ensure that the company has the technical capability to undertake approved repairs. Ensuring technical capability will include, but is not limited to:

Developing production processes (grinding, milling, welding, blending etc)

Developing Route Cards

Developing Data Cards

Developing Standard Practice Procedures

Specifying and ordering tooling, equipment and consumables

Statistical analysis of component reject rates, communication with Customers and analysis of the repair market to identify new repair development opportunities.

To develop new repairs and obtain the required approvals from the OEM, Customer and Regulatory Authorities, where applicable, within agreed timescales and cost. The development of new repairs will be done in a controlled manner with all stages of the development specified by the appropriate documentation.

To contribute to Production, when requested, by undertaking troubleshooting, process improvement or Industrial Engineering projects.

We are looking for someone who has experience in NPI / Manufacturing Engineering with a Coatings bias, and solid understanding of CNC Machining, with exposure to the Aerospace Industry. You should understand the entire NPI process at every stage.
