Job Title: Sales Executive - Technical - Infrastructure

Salary: £30-40k plus bonus negotiable for the right person

The Company:

My client is a leading name in specialist software for civil engineering projects, just recently they have merged with a global player in the market to now take the UK by storm.

Responsibilities include:

Liaising with customers to understand their technical business issues and ultimately identify areas where the company may help them overcome these issues and achieve their goals.

Technical demonstration of software to customers -

Using a mixture of live software demonstration and PowerPoint, both in-person and via online screenshare.

Presenting the companies products to demonstrate the maximum value that products can offer to engineers, architects and planners.

Alignment of the companies products to customers business issues.

Creation of UK-specific marketing material, such as demonstration models, imagery and videos.

Delivering live webinars to present the companies products and value as a technology partner.

Delivering local market intelligence to Product Management.

Maintaining a strong understanding of the UK Highways and Transportation plus Architectural industries.

Requirements:

Strong understanding of the business and project pressures that organisations and individuals in the following sectors feel: Highways & Transportation, Architecture, Infrastructure.

Confident user of CAD applications (e.g. AutoCAD, BricsCAD).

Confident working knowledge regarding the principles of Swept Path Analysis.

Confident public speaker.

Strong grasp of UK transportation engineering terminology and subject matter.

Able to articulate engineering solutions clearly and effectively.

Willing to travel within the UK.

Able and willing to challenge mindsets.

Able to introduce new technical and business concepts that customers may find difficult to understand.

CE Marking Consultant

  • £55000 - £60000 per annum

The ideal CE Marking Consultant will take on the following activities;

  • Inspecting machines and integrated assemblies of machinery for safety. The machinery is often large, complex and unique in design
  • Reviewing technical files for CE compliance
  • Providing technical support on safety issues to companies designing machinery and assemblies of machinery
  • Assisting in compiling CE compliant technical files
  • Review, assess and support the design of CE compliant safety related control systems.
  • Training

The job requires regular travel mainly within in the UK and occasionally abroad.

The successful CE Marking Consultant will have the following skills and attributes;

  • Mechanical or electrical degree educated engineer with sound academic qualifications from school and university
  • Broad industrial experience ideally gained across a range of different manufacturing companies.
  • An experienced eye for spotting both obvious and obscure hazards with a practical hands-on approach to identifying methods of risk reduction.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to write clearly in English; tact and diplomacy in customer interaction
  • Attention to detail: ability to understand, interpret and apply legal requirements and standards
  • A good understanding of what it means to work in an impartial manner

Previous experience in this role or in the safety/compliance sector is not expected. However it will be necessary for the successful candidate to show an understanding of those requirements and to have had experience in their implementation.

The job is likely to suit someone who has had first-hand experience of the hazards in manufacturing; typically in the role of chief engineer, maintenance manager or special-purpose machinery design/commissioning.

Experienced CNC Setter Operator with the ability to set and operate on Milling or Turning machines required for established machining firm in the Crewe area.

The Role:

- Operating and setting on 4 axis horizontal machining centres and 2 axis lathes with live tooling

- Programming or part-programming, if skilled to do so

- Work within standard operating procedures ensuring the highest quality, customer focus and safety at all times.

- To continually identify improvement opportunities within the machining area

- Monday to Friday rotating shifts, 06.00-14.00 and 14.00-22.00

Minimum Skills / Experience Required:

- CNC machining experience (Heidenhain/Fanuc/Siemens controls an advantage)

- Metal cutting experience, working with cast iron/stainless steel/super duplex

- Time-served apprentice - an advantage

- Credible, team player

- A flexible approach to work

- Technical know-how and proficiency

- Consistency in achieving set tasks and multi-task

- Adapting to change, willingness to learn

- Attention to detail & accuracy, and process improvement techniques

- Demonstrate an ability and capability to learn new skills as and when required
