The Role - Business Development Manager - Sub Contract Machining
The aim of the Business Development Manager is to provide a smooth interface between the customer and the company, to develop business relationships in order to provide sufficient opportunities to meet the company’s financial goals.
To work within the Sales team in the development of new and repeat sales for the subcontract machining business. Liaising with all customers that are allocated and to collate estimates and produce quotations on any opportunities that arise from that customer base. To actively seek out new customers that closely align to the competencies of the subcontract machining business. To help collate and monitor sales plans and forecasts based upon the goals set by the Management.

Immediate position available for an Engineering Machinist in South Leicester, within an established engineering company. Training will be given but you do need previous engineering machining experience, such as CNC Milling, CNC Turning, Manual Lathe. Opportunity to earn a permanent contract after the probation period.
Duties Include:
- Operating engineering machines
- Working with various types of sheet metal
- General engineering duties
- Quality checking parts
- Working to instructions
- Following health & safety rules
Minimum Skills / Experience Required:
- CNC Machining or General Engineering Machining experience
- Must have worked within an engineering machine shop
- Hard-working and motivated

The Opportunity:

What you’ll need:
Several years of Sales and Business development in a startup or taking a new technical product to an existing automotive or equivalent production focused market, ideally at OEM or 1st Tier Manufacturers. Having exposure to Clean Tech Power / E-Mobility markets would be a distinct advantage. You must have proven abilities to give clear communication up, down and across about the commercial roadmap and be an executor of the plan.
You will have strategic and tactical experience of positioning commercially the right offering to the best-fit customers for manufacturing volumes. We’re looking for a Player Manager who wants to make their mark in this growing sector, with the potential of success to lead to career level advancement to a C-suite role.
