We are on the lookout for a skilled Service & Repair Engineer with a minimum of 3 years post NVQ 3 qualification experience working in the lift industry. As a skilled Lift Engineer working in the lift industry, you will be expected to manage your own service and repairs routes. Upon scheduled service visits if repairs are required this will be expected as part of the visit.

Your route will be covering the South West of England and consist of servicing passenger lifts, goods lifts and stair lifts. You will also complete all minor repair works.

The Lift Service and Repair Engineer will carry out service and repairs to equipment on customer sites in a safe, professional and cost effective manner, maintaining documentation of all works carried out in line with Health and Safety and Quality procedures. The role will involve working to a planned schedule of repair and maintenance jobs at our client's premises. The lifts you will work on include passenger, stair lifts, platform lifts.

  • Deliver a demanding service contract, covering over 150 lifts around London

  • Achieve response rates to any failure or breakdown to minimize downtimes.

Due to continual growth in a buoyant industry we are on the look-out for a skilled Lift Installation Engineer. The role coverage will be London. Therefore the Lift Engineer must live a commutable distance into the city.

You will be working with a variety of clients in various sectors including private and public companies, schools, government buildings and residential buildings. You will be required to carry out back to back new equipment lift installs

Depending on your experience in the lift and escalator industry will determine your basic salary, but our client will pay up to £45,000 basic salary plus overtime on top. There is earning potential for over £65,000 per year! Bonuses will be paid for completing projects early and various incentives through the year to earn additional salary. You will manage your own installation project. Should you be used to working with a particular Engineers Mate we will look to recruit them as well.

Our client is a market leader in the Lift Industry that offers a comprehensive lift service Nationwide. We are looking for a skilled Sales Executive with either a Sales or Business Development Manager background. You will have experience with working in the lift industry in sales. Or you may be successful in the sales of components in the lift industry or automated doors industry.

This may be service contracts, major modernisation or minor repairs.

The ideal candidate will come from the lift industry with an engineering background. The successful candidate will have experience winning new business and project managing the contracts through to completion. Please consider this role if you have a solid sales background and hungry to pick up the phone to build your own desk.

The Role

You will be responsible for - Winning new business in the lift and escalator industry from surveying and quoting new clients.

Work collaboratively with the client from start to finish, including ordering key components this could be from a control panel to a full new lift.

To expand the client service portfolio - arranging and attending tender meetings - relationship building every step of the way.

Upon completion of audits you will need to write detailed reports of your findings. This will include your recommendations for installation and refurbishment improvements.

Proactively develops and creates customer relationships in his/her area of responsibility

Accountable for developing company customer base or market area

Creates and communicates leads and sales opportunities for entire sales team (e.g. cross-selling)

Sell

Accountable for leads, opportunities, orders and contracts to meet the sales budget and pricing targets

Validates that the contents of the order received from the customer are in line with the negotiation process outcome, including terms and conditions, quality and safety

Accountable for hand-over to installation, maintenance and/or engineering with complete and correct information

The Person

Having the traits of a hunter and farmer are essential to be successful.

Happy travelling between clients account managing and pitching new business.

You will target Architects and main contractors to gain new projects and specifications whilst trying to break existing specifications of competitor products.

Your targets will be in terms of turnover, profit and number of installs.

You will be of the mindset that this is your business and you will be driven to put in the effort, miles and time to make this a success

  • Actively works with customers to find ways to win with customers
  • Coach team of supervisors, and technicians to be customer-centric
  • Accountable that customer experience acceleration touch-points are followed during the whole maintenance contract life-cycle

Professional requirements

  • 4-year college degree minimum or work experience equivalent.
  • Customer relationship management skills and experience
  • Market and customer business understanding
  • Project management skills and experience
  • Wide knowledge of construction industry contracts and their management is an advantage
  • Prior working experience in customer relationship management is an asset
  • Minimum 5 years work experience
