Our established award-winning clean technology client is currently looking for an experienced Application Engineer to provide technical and sales support for their customers throughout the UK and Europe.
To provide presales support, helping prospective customers understand the technical capabilities of our products and matching them to the desired requirements.
To explain all technical aspects of our product simply to customers and prospective customers, as well as providing post-sales support.
Provide training to our sales team on the technical specifications of our products, as well as providing technical product information and support and resolving customer queries.
To help be the first qualifier to the sales team of whether an opportunity is worth pursuing based on the requirements against our existing product set.
The Right Person
The ideal candidate will have a Minimum of 3 years Applications and Sales Support experience ideally at Automotive OEM or 1st tier Manufacturers. Having exposure to Clean Tech Power/ E Mobility or Electronics Engineering would be a distinct advantage.
Responsible for all tier-one technical support enquiries
Identify and propose product / solutions based on customer's technical and application requirements Helping to identify quickly whether a customer requirement fits with our current product set or requires a new product to be developed.
Working collaboratively with customers to arrive at a solution which ideally uses an existing product.
Provide technical support to the sales team, as well as product training
Remain current on industry trends, product applications, market activities and competitive products
Provide important market and customer feedback for product improvements and new product development - Improving functionality by incorporating customer feedback.
Create technical proposals for customers
Deliver product demonstrations and attend seminars and trade exhibitions, simplifying technical terms during product demonstrations and post-sales customer support.
Maintaining strong professional relationships with existing clients and meeting with new clients to help expand sales territories.
