Operative

Production Operative required 

• Based in Nuneaton CV7 
• Permanent Position 
• Paying £10.50 per hour 
• Mon - Thurs 0730 - 1530 
• Friday 0730 - 1200

Job Summary
Using a variety of hand & power tools, fixtures, work instructions and a series of operations to correctly manufacture specified components.

Requirements
 

• Experience within a manufacturing environment
• Experience in general assembly work
• Grinding experience desired 
• Experience with power and hand tools a plus
• Good communication skills including being fluent in English
• A good level of physical fitness and dexterity

 

Main Duties
 

• Grinds, files, or sands surfaces of customer products, using hand tools, power tools
• Assembling of products as per the work instructions
• To produce components in accordance with work instructions, customer requirements, and to specified rates of production
• Ensure all gauges, fixtures and visual aids are kept clean and in good condition, reporting any damage or corrective action
• Performs routine operator maintenance and checks on all tools and equipment used
• Inspect parts for defects and any potential quality concerns to ensure they meet customer specifications
• Assist in Continuous Improvement activities
• Assist new product introduction
• Any other reasonable instruction as directed by your line manager
