The Role:

This role will be working for a well-established lift engineering company. The task is to lead the delivery of trophy site new construction projects. You will effectively manage a team of Senior Project Managers to deliver projects on time and on budget.

This role has a National coverage but you will not be required to cover the London projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Major Projects will be on a large scale, multiple assets and location projects all over a value of £1m.

  • Leading a team of site-based staff to deliver large, complex and high-value new equipment Major Projects around the UK (excluding London)

  • Each project will have its own Profit and Loss and cost centre and the successful candidate will have the capability to handle larger projects of this type independently.

  • Responsible for managing multiple projects in excess of £20m projects

The Successful Candidate:

  • The ideal candidate will have worked as a lift or escalator engineer or had involvement with lifting projects whilst working for a construction company. This candidate will have then worked their way up through management tiers either project management or operational roles to manage teams of other project managers on sizeable/multi-million-pound projects.

  • A proven track record in either the lift and escalator engineering industry or construction industry delivering high-value technical projects within the Lift or Construction industry.

  • Experience managing the strategic aspects of large projects including all reporting and forecasting and working closely with the project teams to mitigate any risk.

  • Defining project objectives, and ensuring these are achieved

  • Undertaking effective day to day management of the project and ensuring that the project runs to time and budget by taking P&L responsibility

  • Delivering operational performance excellence, customer satisfaction, engineering support and improved profitability.

THE ROLE OF Fitter:

The fitting and installation of conveyor systems for the food industry

The Successful Fitter/welder Must have experience in:

TIG welding stainless steel

Ability to work to customers drawings and specifications

Previous experience fitting and installing conveyor systems

Must have:

Current safety passport

Harness training and working at heights certification

Team Player

Work will involve working on site

Must be able to work away from home and weekends

My client is a specialist engineering firm based in Cambridgeshire, they specialize in control panels for special-purpose machinery, due to a heavily stacked order book until the end of the year, they currently need to recruit a number of skilled electrical fitters to assist with production and installation projects.

THE ROLE OF ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION FITTER

  • Wiring Sub Assemblies

  • Wiring Racks

  • Installation on site

  • Working to health and safety regulations

THE RIGHT ELECTRICAL FITTER/ PANEL WIRER

  • Ability to read schematics

  • Wire point to point

  • Terminate

  • Work as part of team

  • Build panels from scratch

  • 17th or 18th Edition holder

  • CSCS holder

  • Used to installation projects
