The Role:

Due to continued success, our clients Loading Systems division has created a new vacancy.

This is an ideal opportunity for any Project Manager looking to join a market leading engineering organisation with a Nationwide Coverage. This role will be Northern based working from your nearest branch.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and organize new construction and full replacement installation works of loading systems.

  • Job creation, planning, and full control of Loading Systems Product installations with an emphasis on cost control and maintaining margins.

  • The day to day management of direct labour and sub-contract installation teams.

  • Sales support, surveys and quote generation.

  • Effective customer communications ensuring optimum installation standards.

  • Technical sales & after-sales support.

  • Liaison with Key Suppliers to continue to build long lasting relationships

  • Identifying cross-selling & up-selling opportunities

  • Decision making in demanding circumstances/environment.

  • Achieving target revenue and profit objectives minimising wastage and labour costs

The Candidate:

  • Important to have an excellent knowledge of all Loading Systems Products and installation procedures and will need to be "hands-on" (Essential)

  • Strategic project management capability, excellent communication skills, organisation, IT skills,

  • Loading Systems experience (Ideally) or another engineering sector relevant experience (minimum)

  • This role is suited to a candidate North of East Midlands

  • Happy to travel around the UK on occasion to support the needs of the business and happy with overnight stays and potential travel in Europe for product training.

The Role:

To ensure that the lift service is executed efficiently on various sites on your assigned route of only 80 lifts whilst providing a high quality of customer service. Attend all service visits within contractual time frames, ensuring that all minor repairs are carried out in a professional, competent and timely manner. To take responsibility for any paired mate to instruct on a technical level, maintain and Health & Safety best practices. The basic salary you start on will depend on experience if you are keen to study your NVQ 4 qualification this company will fully support this career development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise the Service Manager of daily activities & keep them updated with current field-based issues.

  • Liaise with on-site lift inspectors on all ongoing job-related matters including technical issues and outstanding works.

  • Carry out minor lift repairs when required to do so.

  • Demonstrate fault finding skills and knowledge of various types of lift equipment.

  • Provide completed lift service with a minimum number of callbacks.

  • Follow lift manuals and diagrams accurately when necessary.

  • Adhere to quality assurance; health and safety and environmental standards

  • Be able to maintain and balance the accuracy of lift services.

The Candidate:

  • NVQ 3 or equivalent in Lift Engineering

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience of working on a variety of lift equipment.

  • Possess practical skills preferably from a lift engineering background

  • Ability to follow lift manuals and diagrams and to adhere to health and safety requirements

  • Confidence to professionally handle sensitive situations

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with a variety of people, able to work under pressure with honesty and integrity

The role:

This role is more than being a Tester for passenger lifts. This role will encompass being a skilled Technician offering advice on site and over the phone. Plus testing in your designated geographical location. As a Technical Manager you will oversee the entire technical division ensuring that all technical fault finding and testing work is carried out effectively and efficiently by your team of engineers and subcontractors. You will be responsible for the performance of this lift division, the service level agreements agreed with your portfolio of clients and report directly to the board of directors. There are multiple opportunities Nationwide with this company and depending where you live will determine which role you apply for.

  • Making improvements to, and offering advice about, lifting operational procedures

  • Ensuring that lifting equipment works to its specification

  • Creating and carrying out test procedures for a variety of lifting equipment

  • Investigating problems and diagnosing and repairing faults

  • Troubleshooting on problematic lifts and completing technical repairs for on-site fault finding.

  • Supervising lift engineering and all technical staff adhering to health and safety standards at all times

  • Writing reports and documentation of all work completed accurately and on time

  • Providing technical support and training to other Lift Engineers

  • Taking ownership of your division.

  • Report to the Management Team at the Regional Office - work throughout the designated region.

  • A full driving licence is essential.

The Candidate:

  • NVQ 4 - Qualified

  • Engineering Electrical/Mechanical qualification

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience testing a variety of lift equipment.
  • Excellent Leadership, customer service, communication skills

  • Ability to follow lift manuals and diagrams and to adhere to health and safety requirements

  • Communicate clearly & concisely with a variety of people, able to work under pressure with honesty and integrity
