Are you a skilled account manager with the ability to plan and forecast your clients needs? If yes, read on….
My client is an established firm in the engineering manufacturing sector, based in the North East of England and commutable from Newcastle-upon-tyne, Sunderland and Durham. They are currently looking for a skilled Strategic Account Planner to maintain key accounts within the business.
The Role:
- Leading the daily logistical, planning, forecasting and ordering functions of the external and internal strategic accounts, which includes;
- Working to the agreed terms of any agreements in place with customers
- Ensuring orders received are planned, processed, and acknowledged in a timely manner
- Ensuring the timely submission of forecasts and analysis of said forecast
- Weekly call participation with internal and external customers
- Providing regular updates of forecasted turnover and cost to senior management
- Being the key internal point of contact for any logistics and supply chain requirements for these customers / territories within the business, leading solution development efforts that best address customer needs
- Playing an active role in the supply chain and logistics set up of any new strategic account or territory that is brought on board
- Stock management where held for a particular customer / territory - production of ad-hoc reports relating to these particular areas
- Having a full working knowledge of the ERP system requirements needed to support the work for each account / territory and having the administrative knowledge and capability to process the orders and shipments for holiday and sickness cover
Minimum Skills / Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a planning / logistics role
- Excellent IT, written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience within manufacturing or engineering environment
- Ability to work to deadlines on planning, forecasting and ordering functions for internal/external customers.
- Experience of stock management systems and working knowledge of ERP systems to support the work of each account.
- Excellent attention to detail

- Previous experience using sales order processing and CRM systems.
- The ability to to work on your own and as part of a team to build rapport effectively with customers and colleagues, ensuring queries are dealt with quickly and effectively.
- Strong planning, organisation and time management skills.
- Ability to multi-task and deal with a varied workload, ensuring the needs of the customer are always achieved and put first
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
- Practical and logical nature in order to gain full knowledge and understanding of product ranges and market.
- IT literate, particularly Microsoft packages, including excel.
- Excellent attention to detail.

My client are a global machine tool manufacturer and are looking for an Area Sales Manager to be based in the North East covering County Durham/Tyne and Wear/Northumberland and surrounding cities. You will be responsible for taking over an established area with plenty of sales to be gained from both existing users and new business.
