Job details

Positively influence the hauliers perception of company

Build closer relationships with haulage partners both franchise and external

Negotiate haulage rates and ensure that correct details are set against correct contract

To deploy haulage resource to ensure all Customer orders both internal and external are fulfilled with optimum benefit to both the Customer and the Business

Share and broadcast information regarding potential external transport restrictions to our commercial and customer service teams

Support and process, where required, Customer orders in accordance with the current plant approval status and major contract information

Review, maintain and operate the optimising planning tool

Ensure the completion of same day Customer orders and the programme review for next day planning

Liaise with Customer Service Representatives on a daily basis to anticipate potential customer service issues/plant breakdown, and seek to offer assistance to enable resolution

Reliable, flexible and willing, you must be a motivated and pro-active individual. Educated to A Level standard or equivalent, you must also have:

Able to work collaboratively with the team

Ability to work under pressure

Experienced in using various IT systems and packages

Geographical knowledge

General haulage knowledge

An overview of construction products

Analytical skills

You must be able to work flexible hours for this role between 6am and 6pm on a rotating shift 37.5 hours a week and occasional Saturday mornings that are paid at overtime rates

A current, full UK driving licence is essential.
