Head of Sales
Basic: £60,000 - £65,000 DOE, Plus Car Allowance, Plus Bonus Full benefits package
Location: Leicester, Leicestershire
Commutable from Leicester, Market Harborough, Northampton, Kettering, Corby or Lutterworth.

The Company
They offer unrivalled solutions to a diverse number of markets, the core client base being large automotive businesses such as Jaguar Land Rover and Bentley, with also large contracts with the likes of BAE and South West Trains.Due to a restructure at board level, with growth of the business in mind, they now need an experienced Head of Sales to join the team.
The Role
The Head of Sales will play a key role in developing the Sales, Marketing and Business Development strategy of the respective companies within the group. Working closely with the Managing Director, the Head of Sales will place specific emphasis on bottom line Sales performance, managing and supporting the sales team and continue to build a pipeline for delivering personal revenue from corporate accounts.
What do you need to be successful in?
Proven success in managing a sales team, supporting them with coaching, mentoring, building strong internal and external relationships and interacting effectively with all parts of the business, be seen as the go to person by the sales team and drive a culture of accountability.
Track record of wins on new business with manufacturers across multi-region approach from tendering through to prove out stages and production
Effective strategy management of OEM customer relationships with a structured approach to business development functions, commercial astuteness and execution of the vision of the business
What experience will you need?
You will need to be a great man- manger who has experience of leading from the front with hands-on experience of sales management/ technical proposal delivery/ managing the business development process ideally within a manufacturing environment.
Your experience needs to be within Technical Sales ideally allied to either Aerospace / automotive/ engineered solutions based industries where you have been instrumental in securing commercial agreements with new customers.
The Right Person
You will be a professional Sales Manager that is either looking for a step up into a Head of Sales level role or an already experienced Business Development Manager looking to build on your current role & responsibilities:
You will be a commercially aware and proactive man manager, holding integrity and ethics at the centre of all decisions.
Good commercial acumen and excellent negotiation skills working with colleagues and external suppliers across a range of disciplines, including manufacturing, engineering, marketing sales and finance.
Strong organisation skills and attention to detail to effectively support the company in delivering time-bound projects.
You will have a demonstrable track record of developing appropriate Sales and business development processes and a team -manager approach in an evolving company undergoing substantial growth.
