Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 (depending on experience) Overtime

We are searching for a skilled Lift Installation and service repair Engineer familiar with most types of home lift manufacturers.You will also be used to travelling as part of your job and happy travelling from the South East up to the Midlands. The ideal candidate will come from the home lift, platform, goods, access or lift industry with an NVQ 2 or NVQ 3 in either lift service or lift installation lifting equipment.

If you are a skilled Lift Installation Engineer living a commutable distance from the South East and happy travelling to other locations in the UK and you are looking for a varied role including in-depth fault finding, servicing, installation then this opportunity is for you!

The Candidate:

  • NVQ 3 or NVQ 2 Qualified

  • Technically minded - Electrical and Mechanical Engineering fault finding

  • A confident people person for this customer facing role, able to communicate at all levels

  • Flexible travelling to cover service requirements.

  • 2 Years Installation and exposure to servicing home lifts platform lifts, goods lifts, access, dumbwaiters and bespoke lifts - Minimum expectation

  • Full UK Driving License - Essential

  • Experience in Fault Finding can read electrical diagrams - Essential

  • Electrical installation within the lift industry - Essential

  • 17th/18th Edition Qualification - Desirable

Responsibilities of the ideal candidate:

  • Installation & servicing of platform lifts, goods lifts, access, dumbwaiters and bespoke home lifts

  • Execute in-depth fault finding to diagnose problematic lifts - servicing skills
  • Complete technical repairs on a variety of lifts

  • Offering technical guidance to Lift Engineers on site and over the phone

  • Site surveys - Provide accurate lift information to best inform management decisions

We are now recruiting for a highly motivated Sales Manager to proactively manage the sales function for a well-known independent lift & escalator engineering organisation in the UK.

This role will require the selling of either new service contracts for escalators or major repair works, modernisation's or new installations. The role is to identify customer's needs and to generate sales to build a pipeline of new business. The aim is to bring with you an order book which will encompass your portfolio of existing lift and escalator client base. You will have clear and defined routes to market to generate new business aware of new construction projects coming up for end 2020/2021.

If you are a proven and highly skilled salesman in the lift and escalator industry and you are familiar with exceeded individual sales targets you will be rewarded with a market leading basic salary and commission structure including bonuses for over-achieving. This role has been designed for future growth of the business. The role will also include account management for exiting clients where you will nurture these accounts looking to identify both lift and escalator sales opportunities.
