Global Business Development Manager
Location: East Midlands with extensive international travel

Our client is a world-leading manufacturer operating in locations across the globe with a product portfolio of high-technology complex machining processes. They offer unrivalled solutions to a diverse number of markets including electronics, aerospace, medical and industrial and are looking to expand their offerings to new industry sectors.
The business is entering an exciting phase in their development with a mandate to grow and identify a Global Business Development Manager with excellent communications skills and international sales experience.
What do you need to be successful in?
Proven success in account managing/building strong relationships with OEM and Subcontract manufacturers from engineering through to director level
Track record of wins on new business with manufacturers across multi-region approach from tendering through to prove out stages and production
Effective strategy management of OEM customer relationships with a structured approach to business development functions, commercial astuteness and execution of the vision of the business
High level of understanding of complex machining processes (knowledge of laser/EDM processes would be advantageous) but not a prerequisite
Managing the product life cycle, managing long and complex sales cycles and managing and supporting agent/distribution channels across the globe
What experience will you need?
You will need to have a proven track record in selling capital equipment through direct sales and distribution agreements on an international scale.
You will need to understand how to manage distribution networks and overseas agents and be able to create a strategy to grow the dealer network and manage these relationships effectively.
You will lead by example, acting as an ambassador for the company at exhibitions, international corporate events and at their Head office based in the East Midlands as part of the Global Sales Community.
Your experience needs to be within Technical Sales within Electronics / Medical / Advanced Machining technology based industries where you have been instrumental in securing commercial agreements with new customers.
