My client is a very prestigious organisation that specialises in the distribution of engineering products and is the leading organisation of its kind in Europe. They have recently been heavily invested in by their global parent, within the logistics function and their distribution software, ensuring they truly are a step ahead of their competitors and a step change in their offering to the marketplace.

The Role of the Sales Director

As a Technical Sales Director within a global distributor, you will be successful in leading a multi-divisional team, responsible for the overall coordination, functional management and leadership of technical sales activities across the UK.

As an effective Sales Director, you will have exceptional experience and knowledge of the following:

  1. A proven ability to achieve market penetration and sales growth, within a technical market
  2. Able to use your strong knowledge of the distribution sector, to achieve client and supplier relationship aims
  3. Utilise past experience to build a stronger team with new and existing members using support mentality and cross-selling culture.
  4. Using entrepreneurial expertise to challenge current business strategies in place to maximise revenue.
  5. Able to build relationships with the wider enterprise; including sales and product teams to develop product ranges and with key suppliers.
