My client is an established firm in the Facilities Management sector, based in Leicester and commutable from Loughborough, Coventry, Derby and Nottingham. They are currently looking for a General Maintenance Operative to work on sites around the Leicseter and Coventry area
The Role:
- General landscape grounds maintenance
- Grass cutting, strimming, wee control, hedge cutting, trimming
- Complete worksheets with works carried out
- To ensure all health & safety and correct PPE is followed
- Winter Thinning works
Minimum Skills / Experience Required:
- Experience of general landscaping maintenance
- Proof of chainsaw cross cutting/ ground cutting required
- PA1 and PA6 Knapsack herbicide spraying application training course
- Motivated and excellent team player
- Able to commute to Leicester/ Coventry
The Package:
- Starting rate up to £13.50 per hour/ £28,000 Per Annum
- Rate depending on skill and experience level
- Overtime available
- 1 day additional holiday for birthday after 1 years service
- 40 hours per week

Are you an experienced Yard Manager or Supervisor looking for a new role within an established family-run business? Our Construction industry-based client have an opportunity for an experienced Yard Manager or Yard Foreman to join their growing team. The role is commutable from Leicester, Coventry, Tamworth, Hinckley, Derbyshire and Northamptonshire.
The ideal Yard Manager will have a proven track record in a hands-on role within construction or a similar industry, such as quarry, building materials, plant hire, demolition and groundworks.
The Role of Yard Manager:
- Monitor yard stock
- Replenish yard stock (control levels)
- Ensure loads going out recorded with office
- Ensure loads coming in recorded with office
- Prepare loads
- Assist loading
- Keep yard neat and tidy
- Manage yard H&S
- Assist in management of none ferrous
- Assist planning maintenance on attachments, skips, equipment etc
- Deliveries / collections
Key Skills / Experience Required:
- Previous experience as a hands-on Yard Manager, Yard Foreman or Yard Supervisor
- Must have worked in a Yard within an industry similar to construction, such as quarry, mining, building materials, plant hire, demolition and groundworks
- Must have experience of leading others
- Effective communication skills
- Good IT skills
- Good administration skills
- H&S awareness
The Package:
- Starting salary and package for this Yard Manager role is fully dependent on experience level
- Up to £30k starting salary available
- Holiday package starts at 28 days and increases each year
