Our well-established client has recently taken on a major project within the UK that will ensure continuous work throughout the next two years,

to complement their successful precast concrete manufacturing business.

Job Role:

Production Operatives will be required to learn and understand how to clean moulds and assemble them in preparation for casting.

Each operative will be expected to assist in filling the moulds achieve a finished smooth finish by the use of trowelling techniques.

Other daily duties will include maintaining a clean working environment and preparing moulds /components for the following day/shift and other labouring duties.

Working as a team member is essential!

Working Hours: Operatives will be expected to work a two shift system on a weekly rotating basis.

Shifts available between the hours of - 07:00am - 07:00am

Must be flexible

Requirements: All concrete workers must

1.) Be physically fit- As this is a very physical role

2.) Have their own transport (for getting to and from work)

Main responsibilities include:

Work may include:

  • Setting up and operating fabricating machines;

  • Use of hand tools to cut, bend and straighten sheet metal;

  • Shaping metal over blocks or forms using hammer;

  • Inspecting, assembling and smoothing seams and joints of welded, brazed or burred surfaces.

  • The role may involve assembly fitting to complete units or sub-assemblies, using various tools and/or special equipment, bonding point preparation, the use of bonding products or adhesives, riveting and wire locking.

Competencies

- Minimum 2 year sheet metal/fabrication apprenticeship or the ability to demonstrate equivalent experience.
