My client is a very well established firm that manufactures and supplies specialty abrasives and carbide products across the UK and global markets. Due to their continued success and growth they are now looking for a skilled Account Manager to manage a portfolio of high spending accounts to provide 1st class customer service to increase their portfolio growth. The ideal candidate would need to be based in and around M1 corridor closely to Northampton as this will be the central location of the area coverage which is from Manchester as far down to Portsmouth, Devon and Ramsgate.
The job will be home based and is commutable from Birmingham, Northampton, Coventry, Leicester, Cheltenham, Bristol, Swindon, Reading, Milton Keynes, Southampton and any areas between the Midlands and Southern territory.
The role required for the Key Account Manager:
- Manage a portfolio spend from £1.5m-£2m
- Selling a range of products such as abrasives and carbide products
- Identifying & developing new opportunities
- Work independently and as part of a wider sales team
- Extensive travel to customer locations across your region with potential overnight stays
The successful Key Account Manager will need to have:- Sales experience within engineering / industrial / tooling background
- A strong understanding of working with a distribution channel.
- Strong technical engineering background.
- Strategic and commercially minded to aid their growth.
- Positive and upbeat personality.
- Self motivated with great energy in order to succeed.
The following package are available to the successful ‘Key Account Manager’- Salary up to £50,000p.a DOE
- Realistic OTE of £65,000
- Company car or Car Allowance
- 31 days holiday
- Pension, smart phone, laptop and expenses.
