The Role: Electrical Calibration Engineer

The Client

The successful Electrical Calibration Engineer will be working for an employer who:

Operate a technically advanced calibration laboratory, have a great reputation for providing the highest standards of calibration and customer service, can offer a stimulating work environment and flexible working hours.

The Right Person

As the successful Electrical Calibration Engineer is essential that you have experience of:

  • Calibrating electrical measuring instrumentation, ideally in a laboratory environment, to in-house or national standards.

  • You must have experience of calibrating instruments / equipment such as DMM's, Clamp Meters, Oscilloscopes, Ammeters, Volt Meters, PAT testers, insulation testers.

  • You need to be able to work with the minimum of supervision and have a relevant electrical / electronic qualification.

  • You should ideally be apprentice trained or time served as an Electrical Calibration Engineer.

  • It would also be highly desirable for you to have experience of calibrating electrical equipment to UKAS standards - but not essential.

  • Experience of fault finding and repairing to PCB level would also be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

This challenging Electrical Calibration Engineer role will involve:-

  • Calibrating electrical measuring instrumentation (DC and LF) to specific parameters and in line with industry standards.

  • You will be calibrating instruments / equipment such as DMM's, Clamp Meters, Oscilloscopes, Ammeters, Volt Meters, PAT testers, insulation testers.
