We are recruiting a Field Service Engineer to work for a successful market leader within their industry, which is a provider of weighing, X-Ray and detection technology for the food industry. They are looking to add a new Field Service Engineer, multi-skilled but electrically biased, to their already successful team.
Suitable candidate locations should be close to or South of Luton, Bristol, Milton Keynes, Gloucester, Oxford, Bath or Swindon.

The Role of Field Service Engineer:
To install, service, maintain and calibrate a wide range of machinery for food industry such as checkweighers and X-rays and metal detection technology:

 

  • Travelling to customer sites around the UK
  • Electrical/ Mechanical servicing and repairs
  • Perform routine maintenance
  • Fault finding and diagnostics
  • Working in fast-moving, high-pressure environments
  • On-site Health & Safety
  • Ensuring that works are carried out in compliance with current health, safety and environmental requirements
  • Tools will be provided


Key Requirements:

 

 

  • Previous experience in a field service engineer or mobile role is essential
  • Previous experience in repairing, installing or servicing food, FMCG, industrial or automated machinery
  • Prior experience repairing or fault-finding on single-phase motors or control panels
  • Previously repaired mechanical components such as rollers, bearings or belts 
  • Happy to stay away from home during the week
  • Experience within Service/Install or Automation would be beneficial
  • Must hold a full clean UK drivers licence and a valid passport
  • Happy to work in fast-paced and potentially stressful food factories


Benefits/Package:

 

 

  • Salary £30,000-£35,000 per annum DOE
  • 08:45 to 16:45 Monday to Friday
  • £40 overnight stay bonus per night
  • Overtime paid at time and a half over 37.5 hours
  • Holidays: 25 days plus Bank Holidays

As a Field Service Engineer, you will commission, service and provide customer training for world-leading laser engravers. From one day to the next, the role offers variety and diversity, taking you to customers ranging from globally recognised organisations and industrial manufacturers to high-street retailers and educational establishments. Full training will be provided.
Candidate locations could include Slough, Windsor, Woking, Berkshire, Leatherhead, Redhill, Lyne, Egham, Chessington, Epsom, Guildford, Farnborough and Croydon.

The role of Trainee Field Service Engineer will include

  • Servicing and repairing high-end laser engraving machines
  • Extensive travel into Central London and surrounding areas
  • Mechanical and Electrical fault finding and troubleshooting 
  • Commissioning laser systems and proprietary software 
  • Providing focused and bespoke customer training
  • Providing technical support and machine maintenance to existing clients
  • Completing documentation of service and installation visits
  • Delivering a high level of professionalism and customer service

The Candidate
  • Prior experience repairing, servicing or assembling mechanical or electrical machinery or components such as CNC, PCs, vehicle mechanics, electronic gadgets, automated machinery or similar
  • Proven customer service skills with a can-do attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Full UK clean and current driving licence (essential)
  • A willingness to travel for training (must have a valid UK passport)
  • An eagerness to develop technical skills and undertake training and development
  • Competence in the use of graphics or CAD software (non-essential)

Salary and Package
  • Monday - Friday day shifts working hours 8am-6pm (can vary)
  • Starting salary £25,000 per annum increasing to £28,000 after completion of first year internal exams then to £31,000 after the second year.

My client have been serving the Aerospace and Defense industry for over 50 years. They are responsible for design-in and sales of Electro-Mechanical components and Electro-Optical devices and have built a solid reputation across European markets.

They are looking for a technical minded Sales Manager to grow their existing client base whilst constantly 'HUNTING' for new projects and opportunities. The successful individual will be supported by the European head office for orders, logistics and (SOME) administrative matters. Their technical experts will also provide support in case of complex issues. It is expected for the individual to be up and running effectively from the start following initial training. The deals worked on often go through long design phases and it can take long for proper orders to materialise. However, good programs will keep delivering business year after year with some individuals substantially increasing their income.

Covering South of the UK, Person to be ideally located along the M25 corridor or south of this as the role will involve 'ALOT' of travelling so potential applicants must have a full clean driving license.

The Role:

  • Search for new clients and opportunities, whilst maintaining existing accounts
