Covering the Central to East UK Region including South Midlands, East Anglia, Home Counties and North London. Person to be ideally located within Home Counties area, but they will consider individuals located in Peterborough, Northampton, Bedford, Milton Keynes, Hertfordshire, Luton, Cambridge, Norwich, Ipswich, Colchester area. 

The Role: 

  • Managing existing portfolio base
  • Identifying & developing new opportunities within your territory
  • Selling high quality products
  • Communicating with stake holders to ensure client SLA's are met
  • Regular visits to their innovation centre
  • Supporting exhibitions and customer events both UK and abroad with potential overnight stays

Minimum Skills / Experience Required: 

 

  • Experience of selling Cutting Tools, Machine Tools or Capital Equipment
  • Ability to work on there own as this is a Work for Home role
  • Organised and able to plan their work load
  • Sales experience is ESSENTIAL but full Sales & Product training will be provided
  • Confident in speaking to people and will have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Motivated and excellent team player

The Package: 

 

 

  • Salary up to £50k per annum DOE
  • UNCAPPED commission structure with realistic OTE £65k-£70k
  • Sales performance bonus

  • Provide technical support to Sales Engineers and customers on CNC machining processes, including programming, tooling, and setup.
  • Ability to fully program/plan/prepare tooling lists for multi spindle/multi axis lathes
  • They will work closely with customers to understand their requirements, recommend appropriate solutions, and provide training and support as needed.
  • Conduct demonstrations and training sessions for customers on CNC machining processes and equipment.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, including identifying new business opportunities and providing regular updates on new products and services.
  • Happy to be away from home Monday to Friday with extensive travel to customer sites across the UK and sometime in Europe as and when needed
 Experience for the Applications Engineer:
  • MUST HAVE experience of Operating/Programming/Setting CNC Lathes or Turn Mill machines.
  • OR be Apprentice trained and currently working on the shop floor in a CNC Machine/Programmer or Operator capacity
  • Very strong understanding of G-Code programming
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Full clean driving licence

Are you an assembly operative with a mechanical background looking for a new role with a clear career progression path?

Our established client specialises in the design and manufacturing of engineering products. With a full order book they are currently looking for an Assembly/Test Engineer to join their growing team. The main purpose of the role is to carry out an in-depth quality testing process for all types of assembled products, ensuring 100% testing is completed - initial training will be provided.
This position is commutable from Daventry, Northampton, Rugby or Leamington Spa.

The Role of Test Engineer includes:

  • Testing a wide range of specialised mechanically engineered products
  • Responsible for the testing of full batches and sign-off of complete batches as required
  • Following written procedures
  • Ensure full PPE is worn and always work in a safe manner, with consideration for other employees
  • Carry out any other duties as required and deemed appropriate
  • Comply with all Company rules including all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements

Key Skills / Experience Required:
  • Experienced working within an engineering environment in a mechanical assembly position or similar
  • Prior experience following manufacturing processes or guidelines
