The Role: Maintenance Engineer
My Client are looking for a Multi skilled Maintenance Engineer to be based on one of their clients sites in the Bristol area.

Key Responsibilities
Providing support, maintenance & improvement of a highly complex automation cell
- Cell consists of 2 robots, 3 custom 6-axis gantries, 4 CNC controllers, 13 PLCs, 7 HMIs, Custom Software Application to Control the overall Cell and over 100 Servo Motors
- Maintain highly complex mechanical systems within the machines
- Fault Find on Electrical Cabinets to diagnose faults and undertake basic electrical work to install new components as required (limited to 3 phase 415VAC)
- Be the face of the company whilst based on their clients site. The Right Person
The successful Maintenance Engineer must have previous experience performing the above duties as well as Controls/Software experience. The entire system runs on a control system, it is impossible to separate mechanical, electrical and controls as they are all intertwined, to this extent, you must have a working knowledge of how these sorts of systems work to allow diagnosis and problem resolution. (Specific tools that are used; Siemens TIA Portal, VBScript, Siemens 840d CNC Controllers, Kuka KRC4 Controllers, C#, .NET Software Development and MSSQL database backend).
- Experience providing ongoing support, maintenance, and improvement of a highly complex automation cell
- Ability to Fault Find on Electrical Systems as well as being able to undertake basic electrical work.
- Working knowledge of Composites within an Aerospace / Automation Environment
- Previous experience in a customer facing position (working on site)
