This is a varied, hands-on role that combines HR advisory responsibilities with office administration, facilities coordination, and health & safety support. The Role As the HR Advisor, you will provide day-to-day HR support to managers and employees, ensuring HR processes run smoothly and professionally. You will take the lead on onboarding, employee queries, training coordination, and maintaining HR compliance. Alongside your HR duties, you will oversee office operations—managing facilities, supplies, travel arrangements, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for staff and visitors. You will also support the health & safety agenda, helping to maintain a safe and compliant working environment across the site.
Key Responsibilities:HR Advisory
Support HR processes, including onboarding, inductions, and training coordination
Provide first-line HR advice to managers and employees
Assist with employee relations matters and prepare HR documentation
Maintain accurate HR records and update HRIS/ERP systems
Support staff engagement, wellbeing initiatives, and internal communications
Office Administration & Operations
Manage all aspects of office administration, including facilities, supplies, and H&S compliance
Oversee incoming enquiries, correspondence, and visitors, ensuring a professional first impression
Coordinate travel, diaries, and meetings for senior management
Assist with company events, customer visits, and small marketing activities
Ensure day-to-day office operations run smoothly and effectively
Health & Safety
Support health & safety activities, including documentation, training, and compliance checks
Liaise with external H&S partners and internal stakeholders
Ensure office practices meet UK health & safety standards
About You
Business, HR, or administration education with experience in a similar HR or office management role
Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Infor, or similar)
Previous HR advisory or HR support experience
Exposure to health & safety processes is essential
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Proficient in MS Office and PowerPoint
Professional, outgoing personality with strong communication skills
Able to work independently with a proactive, customer-focused approach
