Our established Metal Manufacturing client is currently recruiting for an experienced Engineering Production Operative to join their team. Other suitable job titles could be Workshop Operative, Engineering Operative, Warehouse Operative, Mechanical Assembler, Assembly Operative and Machine Operator.
Based near Syston LE7
Duties of the Production operative/Assembly operative
- Using a variety of engineering tools and machinery
- Working from job order sheets
- Working to deadlines
- Visually inspecting parts
Key Skills / Experience Required for the general operative/ Assembly operative
- Previous experience using
- Must be able to start at short notice
- Ability to work with various hand tools
- Hard-working and motivated
- A keen eye for detail and ability to work to tight tolerances
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
The Package:
- Starting pay rate of £10 to £11 per hour
- Onsite parking
- Overtime available and paid at a premium

- Assemble and testing products within the organisation, mainly programming and testing electrical components and boards
- Panel wiring and general mechanical assembly of sub-assemblies
- Ensuring Health and Safety compliance
- Repair and test multiple products if required
- Any other related duties assigned to them by their line manager
- A background in mechanical and or electrical assembly
- Experience of using Multimeter, Power Supply and fully competent in Microsoft packages
- Proven ability to solder in line with IPC standards would be an advantage
- The aptitude to pay high attention to detail and work to specified local work instructions
- Team player and excellent communicator, who engages and collaborates with others to deliver results
- A keen eye for detail with a proactive approach towards problem resolution
