I am currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer who has experience in the design of controls panels from any industrial market / sector.

THE CLIENT is a privately owned and operated special purpose machinery manufacturer that has grown year on year.
Their state of the art high quality product is created within their purpose built 60,000ft manufacturing facility right here in Leicester!
Due to winning work hand over fist, they are now seeking an Electrical Design Engineer.


THE CANDIDATE that we require will need to be;

  • Based in or commutable to Leicester

  • Possesses a strong career track record in Electrical Control Panel Design

  • CAD package experience could be; Promise E, E-Plan or AutoCAD electrical for example

THE ROLE of the Electrical Design Engineer will consist of;

  • Utilising in-house design softwares to carry out electrical control panel design tasks

  • Identification and selection of control panel components

  • Creating a Bill Of Materials (BOM)

The Role

Investigate the causes or likely causes of incidents such as fires, electrical failures and accidents and provide prompt and accurate advice to the client to assist in determining liability. You will be required to provide a rapid response to an instruction, attending the scene within 24 hours of the event if required. A preliminary report will be required within three days setting out the most probable cause and a proposed strategy for further investigation. When needed, a full and detailed scientific investigation will then be carried out in order to formulate a clear and impartial report.

Key Responsibilities of the role (including, but not limited to;)

  • Carry out thorough site based investigations

  • Accurately gather evidence and record correctly

  • Carry out and amend risk assessments as appropriate

  • Communicate with clients regularly

  • Conduct detailed examinations and analysis of failed equipment or components

  • Analysis information from other investigations and consultants

  • Devise and carry out testing of components and materials

  • Review technical information

  • Prepare reports for Court proceedings

  • Provide Expert Witness evidence in Court

  • Conduct site audits as required

Ideally you will;

  • Have attained a good honours degree in an engineering or science based subject

  • As a minimum, be working towards a Chartered status in a specific discipline

  • A higher degree of study or research (eg MSc or PhD) is desirable

  • Be able to identify colours, particularly when working with electrical wiring

  • Be able to complete a day's site work including some physical exertion

  • Have the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly, both verbally and in writing, to others less informed than yourself

  • Be prepared to work unpredictable hours, as and where the work demands

  • Have gained several years of postgraduate experience

THE ROLE

As the Installation Engineer, you will be visiting domestic and commercial clients and will be responsible for;

  • Installing, servicing and maintaining of a series of ground source heat pumps, water source heat pumps and air source heat pumps

  • From time to time the installation of domestic underfloor heating and domestic heating pipework (15 - 22mm copper) will be required

  • Responsible for covering a local patch, which is approximately a 2hr radius of the office



THE CANDIDATE

To be successful in your application for the role of Installation Engineer - heat pumps, I am looking for someone who;

  • Is commutable to DY14

  • Have experience in a similar role - the installation of ground, water and or air heat pump technologies

  • It would be a bonus to have experience as a Gas Engineer

  • Valid CSCS

  • Valid driver's license

I am looking for a person who has experience in the erection of steel work OR someone who has installed machinery for a client within the water & wastewater industry.

I AM LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO IS;

  • Based near to Lichfield

  • Has a background as a Steel Erector or as a Mechanical Fitter who has installed machinery

YOUR ROLE

Mechanical Installation Engineers are responsible for installing the machinery and associated steelwork on water and waste water treatment sites.

You will be installing steelwork and associated systems such as pumps, agitators, pipework, rotating machinery, tanks, vessels, filters and so on.

PACKAGE

  • £12 - 16p/hr

  • Overtime after 37.5 hours - Mon - Sat paid at x1.5 and x2 on a Sunday

  • Pension holidays training use a of company van fuel card expenses
