The Job

As the successful Graduate Manufacturing Engineer, your day to day is likely to involve the following…..

  • Assessing project requirements

  • Measuring the performance of mechanical components, devices and engines

  • Agreeing budgets, timescales and specifications with clients and managers

  • Maintaining and modifying equipment to ensure that it is safe, reliable and efficient

  • Using computer-aided design/modelling software

  • Liaising with suppliers

  • Undertaking relevant research

  • Producing and implementing designs and test procedures

  • Presenting designs to managers and clients

  • Testing, evaluating, modifying and re-testing products

  • Writing reports and documentation

  • Providing technical advice

  • Analysing and interpreting data.



The Person

  • Must be able to read technical drawings



  • Ideally have some familiarity with AutoCAD.



  • Some electrical exposure/knowledge

The Role will Involve:
- Consulting with and being an expert to your clients throughout the process. You will need
an excellent understanding of a wide range of Occupational Hygiene legislation and
standards.
- Completing risk assessments, audits and gap analysis on clients sites and processes.
- Devising bespoke and comprehensive corrective action plans to ensure the client’s brief is
met.
- Extensive Health and Safety experience within the engineering and manufacturing sector,
with a specialism in human factors.
- Proven track record in carrying out in-depth, complex investigations, and subsequent report
writing. The forensic level of these investigations are used in legal process and have to be
water tight.
- Working on a variety of projects for different clients at any given time.
What we are looking for in the Candidate:
- Qualifications are key to this role. You MUST have a high level of qualification / professional
accreditation. This could be:
o Chartered or chartered safety practitioner.
o A degree, ideally a masters or a doctorate.
o A diploma in occupational hygiene / health and safety.
- Excellent communicator as you will be client facing for most of your role.
- Experienced in expert investigation and reporting.
- Full driving licence, as there will be travel to clients’ sites.

The successful person will be part of a highly skilled team, responsible the production of electrical designs and schematics for special purpose machines and equipment.
