Marketing Executive - Marketing Manager

Location; Leicester, Loughborough, Coalville, Market Harborough

Salary 27-34k Office hours Monday to Friday

As a proven marketing professional, you will be tasked with developing, designing, implementing and facilitating a UK marketing strategy that will drive profitable growth within the target markets. Supporting the sales function both internally and externally and strengthening of the overall brand awareness.

Key Deliverable:

* Implementation of HQ campaigns and clear communication to the sales teams. Initiate product launches in coordination with sales management and in compliance with corporate marketing standards

* Develop brand awareness through all relevant channels

* Planning and executing promotions, social media and PR campaigns

* Analysing and reviewing the effectiveness of marketing programs and report on findings

* Attending UK Sales Meetings and engage with Territory Managers to formulate marketing activities

* Writing a marketing plan and devising a schedule

* Manage the agreed marketing budget

* Understanding of ROI (Return on Investment)

Main Responsibilities / Tasks:

- Collating available information on products to present to Territory Managers and other UK staff - Writing press releases and liaising with Media - Creating and sending marketing e-mails to customers - Designing and creating adverts/product information leaflets using design software (Needs to have experience in design packages, particularly Photoshop and InDesign) - Co-ordinating promotions and giveaways - Flyer / brochure design and production - Development of target lists of customers - Analysing customer and sales data to review marketing campaigns and trends - Managing customer contact details and maintaining contact through newsletters - Ongoing competitor monitoring, focusing on prices and product range analysis - Development of our E-Commerce activities - Designing and creating sales and marketing literature for customers

incorporating dual branding where necessary - Brief and manage external printers when creating UK sales and marketing literature - Manage and update website - Managing POS (point of sale) equipment and promotions - Planning and coordination of events including Trade Shows, exhibitions and buying group meetings to include: - Venue arrangements and bookings - Stand equipment and displays - Literature - General administration

Skills / Attributes:

- Proven experience of Marketing in a manufacturing environment - A self-starter with proven track record in developing and successfully implementing plans - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - A marketing degree or equivalent qualification would be an advantage - Meticulous organisational skills and attention to detail - High level of creativity but also analytical - Experience of planning timelines/budgets - Practical, logical nature in order to gain full knowledge and understanding of product ranges and markets - Excellent IT skills, including Excel, PowePoint, Photoshop and InDesign. SAP knowledge desirable - Full driving license and car - Works and communicates well within a team - Willing to be flexible with working hours where required (i.e. major events)

Our Client is an international company with new and refurbished products into the international marine and power sectors. The UK Aftermarket division has grown steadily over the past 20 years and is now looking for a new leader to take the division to the next level.

The role

This is an exciting time for the person that takes on this Sales Manager role, new products are about to be launched that will cross sell into existing clients. They are also looking for this person to strategically add new distributors into new locations worldwide.

This role comes with a large existing database however you will have the ability to hunt new business and research areas that have not been tapped into yet.

You will be able to lead the team from the front commercially looking at getting new business but also converting more business that comes into the business.

Whilst in the UK you will be office based in North Birmingham although 40% of your time will be spent on International travel.

About you

You will come from a technical sales background of an engineering product or service

You will have knowledge of Power generation or marine or industrial ventilation

You will have international or European sales experience or happy to travel.

You will have managed an internal sales team and international distributors.
