An exciting opportunity for a sales engineer with relevant industry experience, to increase market share and look to be the future Sales manager of the National sales team.

The Candidate:

  • Developing new customers
  • Liaising with Customers to establish the system requirements, functionality and scope of project supply
  • Develop the project specification & project costing based on a company standard template
  • Updating quotes on the CRM
  • Negotiation to close orders including commercial conditions Managing email marketing shots / write application stories for the web site maintaining existing customers depending on location / industry knowledge
  • ONC / HNC / Engineering degree allied to relevant sales experience
  • Have experience with applications in steel, rubber & plastics, food industries
  • Have experience with major end users and OEM's
  • Be able to demonstrate clear analytical skills, the ability to communicate accurately and effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Be able to work effectively both on your own initiative and also as part of the team Be able to demonstrate successful experience in a similar role

The Candidate:

Managing people

  • Set targets, performance plans, and rigorous, objective standards for sales representatives
  • Meet with reps one-on-one weekly to review performance, progress, and targets
  • Deliver quarterly performance reviews for each individual sales engineer
  • Mentor individual sales representatives one-on-one through phone work and prospecting help sessions to help them improve sales performance
  • Participate in planned sales visits and site visits Managing customer needs,Maintain / develop an understanding of customer needs and monitor their preferences
  • Resolve escalated customer issues and customer complaints regarding sales and service
  • Provide expertise and sound commercial sense when setting and adjusting quotations and tenders

Managing the business

  • Determine and assign sales areas, budget and targets and goals
  • Forecast monthly, quarterly and annual revenue and for the sales engineers and the wider team to the SMT
  • Develop sales strategies to acquire new clients
  • Track sales team metrics and share them with business management team at monthly board meetings
  • Analyse sales data on sales results and develop plans to address performance gaps.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering and Tendering to ensure the most effective solutions are offered to clients
  • Prepare Sales cost budgets and approve sales expenditure
  • Monitor competition, economic indicators, and industry trends
  • Advance one's own professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops and other industry training, participating in professional societies and industry networks

  • Identify and establish new customers including prospecting

  • Organise and execute Sales visits

  • Liaise with existing customers and build accounts

  • Follow up quotations, commercial negotiations and persuade/convince customers to place the order with RG Luma.

  • Assist in the preparation of concepts, tenders, proposals and quotations

  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales support

  • Negotiate contracts, be it from Capital / Service or Operational budgets

  • Meet regular sales targets and coordinate sales led projects

  • Effectively conduct customer presentations to all levels of the customer's organisation.

  • Identify and cultivate strategic relationships at all levels of the customer's organisation.
