The role

Duties / Responsibilities:

Loading and unloading delivery vehicles, by hand or with a forklift truck.

Performing a daily inspection of the warehouse grounds and Report any concerns to the WH Manager. Complete a daily check of the forklift at the beginning of each shift and fill in the relevant pre-shift check sheet.Ensure that facility equipment is properly maintained and never mis-used.

Receiving and checking deliveries in. This includes making sure that the products, quantities and conditions of every delivery is correct and that any damages or missing items are reported on the delivery note. Checking and booking in stock for final location in the warehouse.

Taking goods to the appropriate storage space - using loading and lifting equipment for heavy goods

Keeping a careful record of the stock on the warehouse management system, so that it can be located and picked as efficiently as possible.

Operating a forklift truck to move and rearrange stock and ensure that products are stored safely and labelled correctly

With heavy equipment in operation warehouses can be dangerous places, so following workplace health and safety rules is essential.

Managing, evaluating and reporting on warehouse productivity to the WH Manager.

Tracking and coordinating the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.

Maintaining records, reporting relevant information, and preparing any necessary documentation eg. Delivery notes, Packing Lists, Pallet Labels etc..
